That is a beefy spring, the king 700 lb spring is 14” I think. Might be good tho, a lot of guys on the Fox suspension thread complain they barely get 2” lift with the standard Fox 2.5s even with preloading the spring over factory recommended max

Yup the typical spring length we usually see is 14 inches. The taller spring sounds like it’ll allow you to maintain height without putting too much preload.

Eibach even makes a 16 inch spring lmao

@roguegs is correct on the springs. The shocks do handle the significant extra weight of armoring well in my experience driving them around the middle east (while the engine may a little overwhelmed).

Interesting. I never checked what shocks were on our armored hiluxes when I was deployed to SE asia, could be these. Probably these.

    Free bump...

Looks like Fox Defense shocks that I saw on some up-armored Toyota's when I got lost in Africa years ago. Wasn't on our stuff, I think it was brits or maybe FFL??? Saw maybe a rep or two out there covered in velco and 5.11 compression shirts with a bunch of tools and other stuff messing with their stuff on their vics. I wasn't paying much attention because I had just found some crayons in my pocket and was hungry. Where did you get these?

Not yet! I’m waiting to sell that one set before I get 2.5s for my rears to install all at one go. I’ll be sure to once I get it.

Question - is the spring the only thing that makes this "heavy duty" or is this particular shock valved differently than the other Fox 2.5s

I believe it’s just the spring and coating that makes it Fox Defense

If I were local I would entertain the OBO offer and do local pickup but shipping/driving would kill the deal. Why didn't @Catfish21 swoop?

If you’re located continental US and interested, I’d entertain an offer that includes shipping.
