Yeah, actually last night I was looking at all the parts sitting around and think I need to take a break. But I have issues, I can’t stop until it’s done. Even though I know I should focus on what I have. I try to keep the ball rolling. Plus if I leave cash in the savings my wife is like a great white shark looking at it. :p

The malls will never be safe again . Keeping up with the build man and it's coming along really good . I just bought a 2005 4x4 Tacoma restored title for 5k and hopefully I can achieve half of what you have done . Ohh and that drive to keep going till it's done. That's the old Jar Head in you. I do the same shit. Lol

Thanks man! Yeah it’s crazy how it still drives you to keep going. Only the few will understand like you. “Mission Accomplishment”

Just don't sell it when the mission is accomplished. I know a bunch of people who do that and get "bored" once the build is mostly done if not "done"

The joke is, it is never done, just ever evolving.

Most of my sales have been due to out growing my vehicle. I feel like I might have finally found a platform that I can grow with for a while.

I get the whole outgrown thing. For me for the 16 years I’ve had this truck it’s done it’s duty for the family. No one needs the truck any more. That’s why I’m able to chop it and build it how I like for myself. But would I ever sale. Who knows. Maybe if I’m in need of a wheel chair of a car when I get older. I have ruptured disc in my back when I was younger. But as of now I’m going to enjoy it while I still can.

What platform? The Tundra or 4Runner? Trying to figure out what route to go since I didn't like the 4Runner with the sunroof. Gx470 or... whatever is the best deal.

I'll never own a 1st gen Tundra with the intent to wheel it again. In that case I was held back by the platforms weaknesses.

The 4runner and GX are the same in my mind (5'10") so they are a wash. They battle on who is cheapest day by day. That is what I'm talking about keeping though. 5th gens have too much of a mall following for me to jump on board with.

Yeah, so headroom isn't a issue for you. My wife (5'3") loved that 04 4Runner we had and couldn't understand why I sold it. I am looking forward to finding a clean gx470 even though it's the new Instagram EAF vehicle of choice by everybody.

Just finished the passenger side door panel. New speakers are in and with new vinyl on the door. The color is a little off but it will match the seats.

This is a mass loaded vinyl for the doors. Door does feel heavier when I swing it closed. This stuff is pretty heavy.

Yeah but you know those 5th gens are nice. I was trying to talk Barb into getting one but she said it’s to big and wanted a crossover size. So that’s why we started looking at the RX and NX Lexus. Now she wants to keep the Honda longer before she want to obliterate herself to the payment. She wants to travel more right now. We’ll see what happens later down the road. Those Lexus are nice.

So here goes nothing. Never attempted to build one of these. Need to pull out all my wood working tools.

Yes. Trying to follow this concept the JL uses. Since it is a JL sub.
