parking assist after TSB-0062-18

my wife swears up and down that our 2018 used to beep when parking and for example a wall is in front of you at a parking garage and you're getting too close.

she claims that after the TSB was done that somehow this feature is gone and wants to know how to get it back.

we both drive the truck and i have zero recollection of such a feature for the front, and i don't believe the PCS system or TSS is involved, but does anyone know???

definitely beeps backing up getting close to an obstacle.

There isn't any FRONT radar on my 2017 only the rear. I wouldn't mind front assist as I still can't get a good sense of where the front is. I always end up too far away.

 

There are no front parking sensors

 

Only beeps from rear sensor. None in front.

I think the only front warning you'd get on the 2018 is if you're going fast enough to trigger the brake warning. That's some pretty fast parking.

Edit: actually, unlike the lane departure 35mph limit, the pre collision starts at 7mph... so maybe?

 

7+mph into a parking space? Phew

 

You never know, some people get very excited about parking?

 

Funny how I see this thread now....I noticed my rear parking sensors no longer beep when I back up and this was after I did the TSB 0058. I’m going on Monday to get it checked out.
