OK, I went back to stock and carefully placed the Fumoto valve in the trash. One thing I noticed is that once I drained the oil through the valve, then removed it, there was a lot more oil that trickled from the pan. For those with Fumoto valves, you're probably leaving some oil in the pan.

Ask for a replacement.for sure don't throw away your hard earned money, when you get a replacement, sell it here on TW if you no longer want too install it.

That little $24 isn't worth the hassle of pursuing a replacement, then selling it. The lessons learned were more valuable than the money. Those lessons were:

    1. "Hey, fella, leave your truck alone! You're done."

    2. Seat covers, tonneau cover, larger tires, etc., are nice upgrades, but when it comes to potentially destroying my engine due to an oil leak from a failed Fumoto, I should probably stick with the stock $2 drain plug.

This is the exact reason why I got one. It's a little slow at draining but I don't mind it since I don't have to take off my Skid plate.

Guessing they are a hit or miss, you wont find one on my truck, not risking a expensive motor for a $25 part.

Sounds like user error to me. I love my fumoto valve, it’s saved me tons of money, time, and effort over the years.

How does the Fumoto valve save you tons of money?

I heard the inventor in that video is from Houston so hopefully, it's made in the U.S.A.

Let fumoto know about your issue. They'd probably appreciate it even if you don't plan on continuing to use one of their products

Hey yeah, you're right. ValvoMax is located in Houston with a zip code in the Katy area. Might be worth my time to investigate.

    Great idea.

Lot better than chancing a ruined engine with the Fumoto valve, this one is capped off to prevent any leakage,no way the oil can come out when you don't want it too.

I haven't tried it, but the most annoying thing about it are the separate parts. Lose one and you're done. A "no go" for this bro. It's a valve -- make it one piece, at least.
