On a daily basis I see people who are far more important than others, they cut people off, blow past others at 90mph, don’t even use their blinkers, all because they’re far more important. Such a shame

My mom called me a juvenile delinquent when she snitched and reported me to my dad.

She still calls me that. Lol.

Ok, so I pulled #5 coil and there was all kinds of moisture on the exterior of the rubber boot. So I went ahead and pulled the #5 plug and there was moisture and gooey gunk on the terminal/ceramic insulator. So I’m guessing that there was water intrusion recently ( as suggested by @MY50cal). And was likely when I was washing the radiator fins with a garden hose sprayer and decided to give the engine bay a few quick blasts of water a month ago.

I shop vac’d the cylinder plug hole in case of other gunk or water and installed a new plug. In order to isolate the problem, I needed to change only one thing (as suggested by @loosnut ) so I wiped down the old coil and re-installed it. And did a road test.

Voila! No misfire! Old Ignition Coil still functions as designed.

Now I’ll pull the Old Ignition coil, switch out the old rubber seal with a fresh one from my spare Ignition coil (gifted to me from @HolyHandGrenade) and reinstall with the appropriate di-electric grease (as described to me by @JLink )

While I’m in the general area, I’ll replace all the plugs and clean the MAF sensor and throttle body.

Hopefully this is a permanent fix.

    Thanks everyone for your input.

    @Comatose @EatSleepTacos @Anchovy @ovrlndkull @Rockbaron1 @Blackout14 and others.

I have that same adapter. I really like it. I never bothered to weigh them though. I guess I just figured it is what it is.

This reminds me. I need to fill a few before our trip.

Gotcha. Did it a three years ago with no issue. :fingerscrossed:

There’s a nice Throttle Body/MAF cleaning write up on here somewhere that was very detailed with nice pics.

Heating up the parent tank and chilling the smaller tank makes it go quickly and get a better fill in my experience. I do the same thing.

It’s easy. Pull it out, wire brush it, knock it on the work bench to get the debri off, reinstall.

    Please. No one do this...

Yeah. I was hoping it was something simple.

Tearing apart an engine to change a head gasket doesn’t sound like fun. Or cheap.

What’s that satellite com deal you use? Looks like I may end up running the Kokopelli solo.
