There's no hate, it just makes for a long day when people get out to watch every little thing. The event before this past weekend, we only hit tail 11 and 14 between 11am and 2pm and it took an hour to ride down 15 to 22 because people don't grasp the concept of "if you are stock and the guy on 35's in front of you didn't make it through that hole, you don't have a chance in hell."

Ah ok I get what your saying yes that is dirty pool. I thought the scenario was that he, the trooper, had a civilian stopped. Ok. Actually I just stopped in to see how everyone was doing. Sometimes I just can't help myself when it comes to issues with l.e. To be honest I think I have the weekend of October 5th off some may make it up to citrus. Been a while. Spending my time on my boat fishing trying to get a sponsor. And yes very familiar with Waldo hahaha.

Do-eet! Kenny's site is paid for an up for grabs since he's not going to be able to make it.

A little trick I like to use to avoid getting pulled over for speeding is...don't speed! Granted, it hasn't been 100% successful for me. I did get pulled over for speeding once because I passed a TPD cruiser doing 35 in a 45 with a line of about 4 cars hanging out behind him. Not being totally stupid, I passed him doing the speed limit and made sure I stayed there. He still pulled me over anyway, but he didn't write me a ticket because he knew he couldn't make it stick and I would have fought it in court. He couldn't even tell me how fast I was going, just that he had to do 65 to catch up to me since I was a block and a half ahead of him when he decided to light 'em up. I just put it down to taking one for the team and let the other four cars behind him--that were evidently rightly leery of passing him--go on their way at the speed limit. I did have my speedo checked the following day just on the off chance that it was off, but it was dead on.

I've been stopped twice for speeding twice since 2005. Last year I got stopped on my way from Lafayette to Baton Rouge on I-10. The right hand lane was moving well below the speed limit and the left hand lane was a little above, pretty much bumper to bumper. My rental car had out of state plates, so I got picked out of line. No one else in front of or behind me got stopped. That cost me $180. The stop in 2005 got thrown out. They had dropped the speed limit on US92 eastbound (west of Daytona) and had the speed limit signs west of the 92/I4 interchange (the next speed limit sign was after LPGA Blvd). I came off of I4 and maintained the speed I was familiar with and got stopped just west of LPGA. After getting the ticket, I went back with my camera and took pictures all along the exit to show that there were no signs indicating what the speed limit was.

Granted, if the traffic hadn't been so bad when I was in Dallas last week, i probably would have gotten a ticket there...

Louisiana is famous for that shit. I got a speeding ticket in my SS Camaro back in 03 for 63 in a 45 and I was in a line of traffic in Port Barre just outside of Baton Rouge. I was behind 3 18 wheelers and had 2 behind me and we were maybe doing 35 as we had just left a red light and were accelerating. Local cop picked my Florida tags out and whipped a u turn. Ticket was $285. I got a second speeding ticket from the same cop for “over accelerating” on the on ramp to the highway maybe 5 minutes later as he followed me.
