Nice Raptor. They actually hold their value really well. The last gen, at least. I can’t imagine this gen would be different. Cabin space is huge on those Ford’s. Bigger than a Tundra. Your kids will love it

My dad paid $61k for his new in 14 (fully loaded). He got $42k trade for it 2 weeks ago. 5 years and still held 70% of MSRP. His new one has heated seats in the back and totally agree, its got a shit ton of room for everyone. My Dad is 6'2 and I still have plenty of leg room sitting behind him on our trips to Disney.

Gonna respectfully disagree. Lightning blue with the beadlocks is on point.

How old are you? Just curious since not many still go on family trips to Disney sitting behind dad in a car, except @LTDSC.

    33. I have a 12 year old and 18 year old little brother and 30 year old sister. My Dad bought timeshare and we go once a year or to their resort at Hilton Head Island or a Disney Cruise, this has been since my little brothers were younger, just sort of our family vacation thing. Didnt know you could be too old to spend time with family.

Didn’t say you can be too old.. just not something you read very often.

On a separate note, I can’t imagine having kids so far apart. Kinda cool.

The thing is, I have a Tacoma. It goes from point A to point B with family inside without relative hassle (pun intended). It cost me 32k. I’m good with it. I don’t take it off road as this is my “luxury” truck of sorts but can haul stuff when I need to. Like this weekend, bought a new solid oak bed frame. Worked wonders.

The raptor. Beautiful truck. Goes from point A to point B but Has more room for family. Hauls stuff when needed, But costs 60+ grand. So for me, 32k vs. 60k is a numbers game I won’t even consider. Especially when both trucks do the same thing essentially.

If you can afford it, great! Not knocking anyone! But for me, it’s total overkill and unnecessary.

    Lol. No worries.

I love it. Really cool having little brothers to spoil since I have money as an adult and just cool getting to experience things with them. Parents I'm sure loved having built in babysitting lol.

Your 4x2 Sr5 midsize truck can do the same thing as a full size F150 Raptor?...o_O

Curious what your tipping point was that pushed you to the Ford over the Tundra.

Not saying you should or shouldn't have, just interested in what the deal maker was for you.

I think he’s saying one is a wheelbarrow and one is a tractor.

Tractor is nice if you can afford it, but at the end of the day, both move dirt.

I guess. But thats if you're saying the purpose of both is to simply haul stuff. Though I admit alot of people buy them for the look / status, alot actually use them off road as they are designed for and in that case they are no where near the same.

No worries, to each their own. I am admittedly not a black wheel guy. I think it’s mostly that the non-beadlocks are probably my favorite OEM wheel of all time. I would agree with you that the blue looks best w/ the beadlocks.

Going from point A to point B with the family. Yes. Yes it can. Off roading isn’t even a factor as that’s not what I bought it for. So a 28k difference to go from house to our local wal mart and to/from work is overkill. And if I bought a raptor that’s what I’d do with it. So for me, it would be the same.

"Especially when both trucks do the same thing essentially." Just stating the fallacy in this statement in your post. But for simply hauling yes. But why would anyone buy a raptor to just haul stuff...it was not designed for that in mind, Tacoma different story.
