Is anyone with these experiencing a lot of paint chipping from rocks? I have Nittos terras (285/75r16) and they have destroyed my doors. I ordered these today with the hopes of fixing that problem. Any help would be great! Especially before I get these installed. Thanks

You won't like these, then. They're rock chuckers. It does help you're getting narrower tires, but they throw rocks like crazy. I still love the tires, though.

Maybe get some side steps to help protect the doors/rocker panels.

    Thanks!
Yeah I love these tires I had them on my last truck, but I currently have nitto terra grapplers and every time I wash my truck I have 6 or 7 new chip in my paint. I do have Rokbloz mud flaps and they don't stop anything with the 285s. I expect chips with any tire especially oversized, but as cool as my tires look they have to go. I hope the narrower tire helps.

I just put on 265/70-17 (same dia. As what you guys are running). My speed is correct now according to GPS, and my mileage gauge reads 1 to 2 mpgs lower. The larger tire rotates fewer revolutions per mile which will make the mpgs appear worse anyway... But has anyone calculated actual mpgs with the stock tires vs. the bigger tires.

To me, it seems like the MPG reading on the gauge is false with the smaller tires. Kind of a shady way to make the MPGs seem better?

I do feel like my truck shifts better with the bigger tires and the new final drive ratio they provide.

So far so good. I put them on before this trip and I like everything about them from the little experience I have with them. My buddy has over 50k on his and they’re ready to be replaced, but for a mud tire that’s awesome

I’ve had boggers and a few other pretty nasty tires so I actually thought these were pretty mild as far as noise goes

I’m running 265/70/17’s (same diameter as 265/75/16) and I definitely rub in the front when turning and hitting a bump. Stock suspension

Anyone have pics with 265/70/16 BFGs? I like it as a wider tire and less height. Looks proportionally better IMO. All the setups Ive seen on TW with really tall, skinny tires look weird to me.

Just not sure how much the 265/70 will actually make, if noticeable at all. Wish they made them in a 275/70/16 even.

265/70/16 is the stock size for the TRDOR. The 265/75/16 is the same width as the 265/70/16 but 1" taller; so you gain .5 inches of ground clearance. Doesn't mess with speedo, looks really nice.

I wish they made them in 255/85/16
