Yeah it's still down there. They seemed 50/50 when I was there at lunch, certainly aware of the TSB ECM flash, but couldn't guarantee they were going to do it, seemed to act like we were at the mercy of the service tech whether they decide to do it or not. But I know one of the parts guys pretty well and he said he was going to print out all info pertaining to the flash and hand it to the tech that got the truck and help give some push for us. Hopefully they do it. :fingerscrossed:

Well they supposedly did the flash. Time will tell if it seems to drive any different.

Took the Maverick out for a run to try the new tires & wheels (30x10-14 Terrabite on Tusk Teton Gun Metal/Black)(stock tires & wheels in pic). Tires & wheels are stock specs, but I wanted an AT that leaned more towards hard pack & rocks. Stock tires just had too big of gaps in tread for the volcanic & granite rocks all over the place around here.
Took some familiar trails & some new ones today. These tires are going to work a lot better in my area. Hook up real good & feel more stable at speed.
I even topped my previous high speed (75 mph) with today's 80 mph. I backed off because I was running out of good trail.
Also got a Garmin Montana 610T GPS. Secure powered mount comes tomorrow. I threw it in the backpack & took it out at a couple of stops. This gives you access to a lot of infoScreenshot_20.jpg Screenshot_21.jpgScreenshot_24.jpg Screenshot_25.jpg

I got a bunch of Garmin GPX files of some of the routes a Ferntuckian has taken in his RZR around here.

Friday morning I'll meet him for the 1st time & we're taking this route.

Anyone else got some Garmin GPX files of some good runs they can send me?

Its supposed to stop the hesitation from a dead stop to floored.....I think you can just stop and floor it a couple of times, if you bounce your face off of the steering wheel, it didn't work. That's what happens to me. In fact, there is a guy that works at a used office supply warehouse in south meadows that got rid of his auto and bought a manual for that exact reason. Its a safety hazard really. The first time it happened to me, I almost got hit and now I dont trust my truck to move like I want it so now I just wait until there is more than enough room to get out into traffic. Definitely keep us updated. If they give me grief at Dolan, Ill just go to Carson again.

Ours is the manual, our issue is when going about 25mph in 2nd just driving through our neighborhood and you then give it some gas, even just like half throttle, it would jerk the whole truck and 'stumble'. Almost like you're just pushing the clutch in and out a few times while in the gas, jerking the whole truck. Feels terrible(cant be good for the drivetrain and leaf springs either) and is rather annoying since when it does it it doesn't accelerate for at least a second or 2.

We did some google searching of the TSB code on our work order after picking it up and it seems the code corresponds to a different TSB- an issue of engine RPM fluctuation at idle while steering? Not what we complained about. But maybe, just maybe, when applying that flash it includes other older updates with it as well? The date on the TSB they did was from like a week ago, but I know the main TSB we tried to get them to do was from a couple months ago so who knows if that was included in the newer flash update they applied.

For the autos there are a couple different TSBs for different issues but the fix is the same flash. So it’s possible the one they gave you includes fixes for multiple issues.

Don't know yet. Most I've put in so far was 7ish gallons (10 gal tank) and that was after several days of trips.

Ah! I see! That's what mine feels like when I floor it from a dead stop, like I pushed in a clutch and let it out. So lame. Even lamer that it does it on the manuals too. I hope it gets fixed!

Installing the dual batteries is more of a headache than I had originally thought it would be. Mostly because of how I am running the wires I guess. I just dont want it to look like a rats nest of wires when Im done. I could have just thrown it together and been done with it but my OCD isn't allowing that to happen. UGH!

After driving it for a day I’m not sure there’s much of a difference. It did fix the slight stumble when you go full throttle from a stop. A lot of people in the 3rd gen forum said it made it feel like a new truck but I don’t see that at all. But then again I really didn’t have an issue with the transmission in the first place.

I met Joe today after talking on FB & we headed out for a run. New to me & familiar to him trails S & SE of where I live. It was around an 85 mile run with a great mix of about everything but rock crawling (was available), mud (wrong time of year) & dunes (different trail needed).
Headed south towards then east until we were past it & then south again. Stopped for lunch at Arch Rock then continued on to the cave (turnaround point). Can't remember what these formations are called, but they are by Pyramid Lake too.
Had a blast, ate way too much dust & look forward to our next run together on Sunday (leaving my house at 10 am if you want to join us)
