Reading those updates may have just won me over on purchasing this. Holy crap. I've been contemplating it for a long while now, and yea...... highly impressed. I'll give it a week or so of people testing it and seeing what they think before jumping into it (also helps my truck is in the shop for a few weeks, so prevents me from just making a hair trigger decision at the moment)

EDIT: Just went to the Carista Bluetooth OBD2 to check it out. Would this work for doing updates? Would I need a laptop still? Or would phone work. Also, under advanced, it says "Unlock hidden features" . Anyone tried this? Do these exist on the Tacoma?

I'd need to purchase a laptop, I see you can only register this to 1 PC, and well, I'm not dragging my 86lb PC out to my truck for updates, not driving my truck into my Theater. I'll do some digging on laptops that I can trust will last, and make sure to get a nice guard dog to keep the wife n kids away from it to protect it from any damage.

    Pls bring me 93.

I’ve only seen it a few times. I can’t even find 91 every time I need fuel :(

As far as I know not compatible. You need the TACTRIX cable from OVtune. Especially if you want to do any logging for custom tunes.

Correct. You can see the calibration ID in Carista but that’s it

*crosses his fingers we don't have another 31mph gear shift*

1.04R changes gears early but still has acceleration, surprisingly so. Hoping Mat used what Toyota have done and improved on it.

Facts my rent for a 2 bedroom apartment is 2295 not counting anything.. someone working a full time job $4000 a month would be living pay check to pay check bairly making ends make. 4k a month is actually more than what most people in the bay area make too lol

The kits with the dongle (cable, plug) are not tied to 1 computer. A lot of guys on here have a cheap laptop (RCA Cambia, etc. $100-$200) with the tune files on it stored in the truck along with all the files (87,91,93 octane) you might need backed up on a thumb drive or two. It’s really simple and quick to do.
