For rubs, just buy pitfaced, it’s really good, and a member makes it. I’ll link the thread for it. Even if you don’t get a smoker, it’s good on everything. We put some on a roast in the croc the other day, delicious.

    Thank you

Thank you. It was really good.

Subsistence is all I do, even when sport fishing. If it’s not going on the table, then I’m not trying to catch it. That completely baffles a lot of the sport fishermen that I meet; they don’t understand that to some people fishing is boring but catching is worth the effort. For me all of the fun is being with friends and family and putting food on the table.

Some of my best memories growing up are of my gramps and out on the boat or out on the shore fishing all day. Then either cleaning and cooking for shore lunch or taking it home cleaning and cooking. Good food and even better memories.

We did a little cooking contest on here earlier this year (congrats @Misplaced Nebraskan and @WBF610!), but it was the dead of summer and a little too hot to get some folks motivated . I'm down to host another, but don't want to wait too long, lest it get too cold for others .

When should we put on another TacomaWorld online cookoff?

Y'all ever make lasagna in a weber kettle?? Lasagna sounds good....don't wanna heat the damn house. I could clean out the pellet pooper, just wanted a new challenge. But I also want something edible tonight!

My first ever brisket was good, not great. Not quite the flavor I was hoping for but damn that thing was juicy! One thing I learned on this smoke is that my Thermopro TP20 is a giant POS. It was giving all sorts of crazy readings from of both probes that I know where way off. I think I'm going to save it for emergencies and just buy at Thermoworks Smoke.

Looks good to me. My thermopro has worked flawlessly since day one, sorry to hear you are having trouble with yours.
