Missing My Last Tacoma --- Had 11 Toyota trucks in the past and many other Toyota cars too.
I like the Raptor and I basically like all performance vehicles. If I had $75K to drop and I never had to park it ... I would get one in a heartbeat.

My problem is finding a good place to park (especially in a parking garage) with my Tacoma now.

And it seems like they are making the parking places smaller too ...

    Congrats on that beautiful truck.

PS ... I live part-time in Thailand and I drove a new Hilux, Nissan and Ranger (many new Rangers there now and they are big and nice too) and it was a cool truck.

I was told by several Thai Ford dealers ... that they are going to test a "Ranger Mini-Raptor" there next year too.

I get where my statement could be construed and meant a different way. I was mearely stating in my point of view though. But really, how many “normal” raptor owners are going to take a 60k truck and do serious off roading. Not many I presume. I know some will of coarse but the masses buy it for name and “prestige” only. I know many that have 50k trucks all decked out and have never even seen a dirt road.

I was a bit perplexed as well, guys going from nicely equipped new Tacos to Raptors as well also had me a bit perplexed but less so than 2 dudes walking into a dealer trading the same truck for 2 new same trucks.

As long as the stealership is not near Broke Back Mountain, it should be ok. Please don’t quote me on that! :deadhorse:

    TRAITOR!!!

Sigh... I too want a new Raptor. But I'm keeping my 2000 4Runner Limited until I die! I will surely die before it does.

To be fair, I was comparing the Tundra against the F150 Lariat. The raptor is in it's own league.
But Toyota seems way behind the times with the Tundra relative to the competition:
    - it requires a key in the ignition to start (even the top line)
    - Back up camera is tiny.
    - Less back passenger room than the F150
    - It has a hump in the floor in the back. Wanted something flat for my dog.
    - It gets 14 MPG. The F150 Lariat gets 20+. I'm averaging 16 with my raptor and I'm stomping on it A LOT.
    - Overall the tech was weak compared to Ford
    - Just seemed like a boring truck. I'm sure this is personal preference.

Ha! They're our best friends an they don't have kids (we do). He was in the market for a full sized truck as well and was leaning towards the Dodge Rebel. He came with me for "moral support" to buy mine. Once he took it for a test drive and saw how easy the dealer put my package together, he jumped on board. I asked the dealer and the rep if they ever sold 2 raptors, back to back, with the same rep. Apparently we set a new record!

Lightning blue is a sick color. I could have made that color work, magnetic gray, silver or Leadfoot Gray. My wife ruled out Blue since it was too bold. I wished I was able to get Cement in the taco, so went with Leadfoot. It was a very hard color to find in stock. Looks like they're not making it in 2019 either.

Yep lightning blue is gone for 19 replaced with 2 new other blues. Reason my dad replaced his 14 with the 18 since he had to have lightning blue lol. I loved avalanche grey which had a one year run, last year. Nice choice with lead foot!

I’m sure it will look more Tacoma ish come 2020 when it’s updated. Even the 19 RAV4 has tacoma / 4Runner design cues.
