Wasn't too bad. You're better at cad and design than me. I did most of this with cardboard cutouts, then build and modify as the build goes on. First real test of it will be a 1300 mile road trip for a bachelor party in November.

Bolts through the foot pegs. If you look up the "ultimate mx hauler" I am basically copying that but making it bigger. I think theirs does 18" of vertical travel and mine will do 30". But they use a bolt/ hook thing that goes through the foot peg and tightens through the base plate

Hey, any of you guys running Delrin LCA bushings in a daily driver? I'm considering them for smooth and trouble free movement of my stock LCA.

Anybody running a slip-yoke on their drive shaft, and have a strap in case it separates? Just curious what you’re using and how you mounted.

    Thanks

Yeah, only change was that I didn't have to replace it after 6 months.

All racing organizations require the use of a drive line strap.

You talking regular limit straps or is this something special on the driveshaft?

Unless things have changed in the past 2 years that’s not correct. We never ran one on the 6100 and never had an issue through tech

Edit: looks like you are correct now sir. PG 27 of the BITD rule book

    A thing or two...
I'm having a slip joint added to the rear half of my driveshaft with my Camburg SUA install. The shop doing the install tried using a Toyota joint and it was too short, so they're having it custom built.

Does anyone in here have any horror stories about rear axle shafts? I am about to send my differential to ECGS to get regear and a detroit locker. I only have a 4 cylinder and I am getting 5.29s to hopefully get some extra torque with 35s. I have read that if you break an axle shaft it will probably mess up the locker as well. I have tried to find better axle shafts, but I am wondering if you guys think upgrading axle shafts is necessary. Keep in mind its a 4 cylinder with 35s

I have a 4 cylinder and 35s, and I wouldn't do 5.29s unless you don't plan drive to it on the freeway ever again. I'm debating between 4.56 and 4.88 currently as gearing needed to match stock speed/revs is between those and not offered.

I don’t plan to drive it on the freeway ever again lol. It’s 99% exclusively offroad
