the 3vz-e was a crappy engine

the 3vz-fe was a great high rpm screamer.

the 1mz and 3mz are sludge makers but good

 

The 3VZ-E is garbage

The 3VZ-FE is great

I dunno about the 1MZ, but it can't be that bad it is in every mini van

 

flipped the dry erase board and i got a second list there. 4 link, v8 swap, 1 ton full float rear axle. what was i drinking then?

 

This is the one thing I don't like about the VG30E in my Z. They always make top end sludge. The bottom with be super clean, the cams and lifters will be spotless. But somehow the top end just gathers sludge garbage around them.

 

Replace them, that what I have to do. Nissan uses a lot of Bosch connectors so I can just buy those but Toyota has a good deal of proprietary

 

There was someone who cross-reference the connectors to the cheapest model they were offered on once. Can't remember where to find that though.

 

Have you looked under them?

 

Chances are they're restos or they lived their lives in less abusive states.

I've never broken a connector across both of my trucks. Why are yours so brittle?

 

Could do that too, but most of those aren't weatherproof

You ever look at www.mouser.com? You can buy almost every electrical connector and terminal in the world from them.

 

Yeah I've gotten Bosch EV-1 from them and some of the GM connectors

Almost. Water pump is on, camshaft pulley us on, the billion bolts holding the water pump is on, list goes on.
