Yep. And I used it to great effect once I was down in the pit.

    Screen Shot 2018-09-30 at 2.51.07 PM.jpg

You can see that third drain tile is just approximately in the same area as the second one. So some of the water continues into the pit (which has the drainpipe that leads to the street) and some runs out and around, forming the nice underground cave that is growing underneath the backyard and under the foundation.

Unfortunately the only cool things I have called hands are the ones stuck to my arms, so if I gotta reach into the various pipes and other areas (which I did) I gotta get dirty. I only have the old iphone 7; it doesn't have that app. :D

No, the beer is above ground. Kind of a carrot on a stick thing, to help get me out of there.

My wife attached it to this camera stick we had laying around.

New Balance have done me wonders in my day to day activities and I have Vasque hiking boots that help me out. I have no issues going up the mountain but I feel it a bit coming down. Merrell shoes are great for when I’m playing drums. My shoe needs are worse than my wife’s.

I have no idea how your going to fix that but I did see a way they fix water pipes with a fiber glass tube that they inject the resin in after it is in place . @Kolunatic and I spoke of it after I watched the procedure. Are you going to have to dig it up and repair or is there a way to sleeve it in place ?
We don't have those kinds of things on houses around here .

I have one similar to that made by a different company . Works ok for support but you will notice some edema if you wear it for excessive amounts of time . I was also told to beware of calf / leg pain as it might be a clot because of the reduced circulation.

That doesn’t sound like a fair trade off.

I'm going to continue looking into a more permanent solution, like the one you mention. Actually, there was another gap on the vertical pipe that has the downspout going into it. There is a good 2 inch gap inbetween that one and the one below it, so water leaks out around there too. I found a plastic coupler at Home Depot that fits perfectly in the 5" ID of the clay pipe, and I slid that down in there to "attach" the two pieces from the inside. Not perfectly water tight, but much much better than it was.

The only concern I have with putting in the tube you're talking about is that it doesn't address the void around the drain pipe and under the foundation. I have no idea how big it is, but I can't find out until I dig it up. And if I dig it up to fill in the voids, I would probably just replace the mismatched piping. I just gotta decide how deep I want to get into this project.

But in the meantime, where's that beer somebody promised me...?

Played around with the metal detector this morning in a local "Open Space" property.
No shortage of ticks and skeeters as well as standing water everywhere from all the rain we've had.
Posted this on the detector thread.
There's an old cellar hole, but unfortunately it was used for years as a trash pit and there's nothing but junk in it.
About 100 yards away along a stone wall I hit a lot of brass.
The Roosevelt dime was in the ground 8 inches and was from '99.Found it on the way out. How did that get buried deep in the woods ?
Brass furniture hardware and brass horse tack with a bit of intact leather...
Still looking for my first old coin.
