Oh the P/N switch code. Ok unplug the harness at the trans and under the DS dash around the kich panel area (you'll need a diagram for which plug it is). Check both connectors for corrosion. If the connectors have corrosion try cleaning them as best you can. Also if they have corrosion you may end up needing to replace the harness. Apparently moisture gets into the earlier model trucks 05-7/8 and into that connector and causes issues.

For all you guys that wheel and even guys that don't. dielectric grease is your friend. Buy a couple of the larger tubes, disconnect your battery, disconnect every single electrical connection you can find, clean them completely, apply dielectric grease. It's worth the time it takes and will absolutely save you headaches in the future. Do this every year or two and you will never have a corroded connection.

Never is a bold statement. Water is a fickle beast and sometimes even dielectric grease won't help. But yes dielectric grease is a good preventative maintenance and can help.

OK, it's extremely unlikely you will have water intrusion issues if done correctly and regularly.

Any of you guys coming today happen to have a set of Tacoma OEM Bilstein front shocks and springs? Looking for a set to use on my 2005 4Runner. Need to replace my originals at 250K miles and these will offer a slight lift so can't beat that.

I would bet junk plug gummed up. Also alot of cars the last several years only like factory plugs which provide the correct amount for the cylinder . Just my 2 cents.

At least this time we discussed it ahead of time and I didn't go rogue... or vigilante as @EatSleepTacos called it last time.
