Might as well just be in a mivivan because you cant get to the places I go with a trailer... that’s the point of having an off-road truck in the first place ;)

I’ve had both. Nothing beats the convenience of the bed. But you can make do with a runner if you have a decent trailer.

Towing and hauling are two different things. But thanks for the laugh.

Totally agree. I’m planning on buying another Tacoma in 2020 assuming the platform major bugs are gone.

Nah been there, trailer slows you way down and severely limits where you can actually go. Most of my favorite spots are not trailer accessible.

I LOVE 4runners but they’re really limited compared to Tacoma’s which is why I’m back in a taco, although my next move is to get a wife and get her a 4runner so I can have both :)

Quick trip to the mountains with just two of us, 4runner all day. But if I’m going on a real trip with friends, toys and the dogs... 4runner just can’t handle the job.

    Love that 4R!

Super funny everyone defending their trucks. I could give a fuck what someone else drives. Theyre happy? Me happy. It ends at that.

I’ve had both sitting side-by-side in the garage. In the end I decided one had to go because I wanted a sportscar again. So I sold the Taco. I’ll buy another one when the time is right. I had bugs with my Taco. None with the runner so the decision was easy, but I really loved both.

Yes, I agree the Tacoma is a better fit for a shit ton of scenarios. But I also love my 4Runner for the ride, interior room, etc.

They are both bad ass for many reasons.

Have 3 Tacoma’s and 1 4Runner in the family and love them all. Whatever works best for you, they are both fantastic.

You're a stronger man than me. Props. Mine weighs about 85lbs and it's all I can do to get it in the bed on an incline. :fistbump: ;)

Yea, mine is no where near that heavy. They are rec sit on tops not anglers. For a fishing boat its gonna be a truck or trailer at my age.

Anyway, gotta love the spirit here anyway. :D

If wives came with a 4Runner as standard equipment that would something.

Spirit we got. It's a lifestyle thing, for me at least. I just need a truck for what I do. When I no longer haul shit and kayak fish, I'll look at something else. For some things a truck just makes more sense.

I’ll post a pic when I get my next boat. I’m doing some shopping right now for something similar to this...
