Finally had a couple more decent bucks on camera. They’re hard to see, but they’re there.

The bucks hang back away from the Does this time of year till the rut kicks in good So they are probably nearby. Does are better tasting, bucks make good chili and sausage.

Checked my camera that's been out for a few days on some leftover peanuts I had from last year. Got well over 50 pictures of coyotes, a few of a fox and 3...3 pictures of a doe and fawn. Good thing I have other places to hunt. Once the soybeans are harvested I'll be on coyote patrol.

Trying to figure out what this is. The second picture is a coyote roughly in the same spot to be used more of a size comparison. I did shoot a black coyote on the same farm back in 2017 and shoot many a year on this tract.

How do you like that Wildgame camera? What's the battery life? DOes it hold up to heat?

I have two of them and have used them on and off for over a year. For the price tag of around $30 it's hard to beat. They take 8 AA batteries. I get the 8 batteries for $1 at the dollar store. They last the month or two. I'm not sure about the heat. I normally have them out of direct sunlight, but they hold up to the heat, humidity and storms we get in NC. My only complaint would be that the camera itself does not have a very fast trigger compared to the $100+ cameras but that's kinda to be expected.

Just search age a live deer. It takes practice and sitting and studying the deer. Not just during hunting season

Well, crap...skunked this year. Didn't even get a chance to raise my muzzleloader. Fish lake plateau in Utah (east side). One took off before I could even determine how many points he had and the other was at a full sprint about 400 yards away running towards private property and I thought he was being shot at by another hunter. Oh well, next time. If anyone has a tag for that area, Hancock flat appears to be a better bet.

@Wju Print this off and laminate it and leave in your stands or camp. I have them in all the stands, just helps the kids and such learn. We pack food and just go sit and look at all the deer, we do carry a varmint rifle.

Dang, that's a rough spot, in ga I've only hunted with at least a 70 acres between me and the next guy. I wouldn't even know how to deal with someone else shooting at my target!
