Yeah. OEM is plastic, replacement is plastic.

This is such a terribly designed engine. Everything about it is horrible.

Did you know Toyota wants $3,800 for this job?

Making my old vehicles look good haha. 3RZ is metal impeller (265k mi). 1FZ-FE is cast iron impeller (new because I was doing other work there). VG30E, has the option for cast iron or steel impeller haha

High rpm prefers composite. Less cavitation at higher rpm. The steel and iron impellers last a long time. So can the composite ones.

Makes sense, heat cycling kills the composition though. My truck motors are slow revving. The VG can rev high but the impeller is huge and under driven from the crank to compensate.

Soo.. I may have a problem... I’ve accrued 136 quarts of Toyota’s ws transmission fluid... and 10 gallons of coolant.. I literally drain and fill my trans on the Avalon every oil change... because I can.

It's been pretty quite in here these days. I'm assuming that everyone is out yelling at their wives in public at an Applebee's because the wife wants you boys to trade your 1st gen in on a 3rd gen. It was at that moment that you remind her that she got rooted in the bed of your 1st gen and you don't think the new composite bed on the 3rd gen is up to the task since she's gained a few pounds.

No. I got a job. And I'm trying to drop 25 pounds. Sitting in a recliner snacking and reading TW doesn't help me reach my goal. Down 7 pounds so far.

    Jesus Christ.

Was that an accident, or did you purposely buy 136 quarts?

If that’s the right stuff for my truck I’ll buy a case off ya.

It’s surprisingly quiet on weekends. Tends to liven up on work week nights.

It’s left overs from jobs I do at work.. that’s litterally 2 quarts at a time from warranty trans work or from other techs that have a bunch saved up. And no it’s not the right stuff for the 1st gene

Lol I know you could. But in all reality I just want the 4 for the truck.. 12 on the Corolla would probably stop people from cutting me off and taking the front end off

12 Cadillac horns on a Corolla would part the Interstate like Moses did with the Red Sea.

Rightfully so. Damn car can take out anything in its path. Lol every accident has left the car that hit it totalled and we’ve driven the Corolla to the body shop
