    I relocated mine to under the hood. Made the winch fit better, kept the componenets safe, cost maybe 35 bucks more and some time. But i ran incab switches too.

    Superwinch 11,500 Tiger Shark, fit fine for me I located the solenoid next to the winch in the bumper and ran a extension cable and mounted it in the bumper.

    Ya so your power goes from the solenoid to the switch pro. Leave the winch on the battery bc it requires so much current.

    It is mounted on top. The solenoid with the XRC winches are sealed pretty well. Mine is on top, I bent the legs just very very little and it fits like a glove

    What's everyone using to coat their bumpers? Spray paint or powder coat? I use my truck off road and definitely push it hard. More than likely there will be times of it hitting a rock or two. I know powder coat is more durable than paint but paint is easier to touch up. I just got the bumper home and I see the back bracing area is very intricate and I doubt I'll be able to lay down a quality coat in some areas to help prevent rust. So now I'm leaning towards the powder coat option but just wanted some input from you guys. I do not like the texture of bed liner.

    I am with you I want ease of repair and touch up due to actually using the bumpers for what they were designed for, so paint was my method and coverage has not been an issue thus far with the front or rear bumper or sliders. .

    I had no issue coating the areas but I am sure the finish is not pretty due to over spray but it is not visible, and powder coat requires the same ability to cover areas as paint and it has to be sprayed in those areas as well.

    Ahhh didn't even think about that on the powder coat being applied like paint. Hmm definitely something to think about. :fistbump: I dont mind what it looks like on the back side like you said its hidden so who cares.
