I got a 2 inch hole in my current frame I give a year or so before it bust in half or my gas tank falls off. So I’m doing frame swap.

Busted out some more hours on it.
Got all the electrical, heater, harness and shit!

Wasn’t too hard, just unscrew the two screws outside, remove clips that hold down headliner and there should be some bolts to take out (10-12 mm? I think) and the third light should pop out

Oh hi old time friends. I had a 99 back in 2012-2015 but sold it. Then bought a 2015... modded that up and totaled it last week.
I’ll be getting an 02 ext. cab TRD w/ just under 100k here in about a week or so

Just thought I’d pop in and revisit/sub the old thread

They are Memphis Audio 15-PRX5C (5.25"). I had to shuffle the crossover around since the door panel wouldnt close. Love the qualify of the sound but it lacks bass. Need to play around with the crossovers.

Also installed a pair of 6x8 kickers on the back. I'm sure everything will sound really nice when I install a 10 inch subwoofer on the back.

I’ll do a bit more research and decide from there. It’s been a thought but haven’t really pulled the trigger on it just yet. Will be sure to make a post about it if I do though!

He has a truck the he rolled at some point with a good frame and then he has a truck with a good cab and stuff with a bad frame.
I think that’s how it was anyway.

Think I'll go do a little 20-30 minute offroad fix after work. Air is dewy and that means wet greasy dirt

Technically it wasn't "today" but this weekend...

After FAR too many years, I've finally done the diff breather mod, relocated my washer fluid reservoir to the engine compartment, and relocated my turn signals to the corner marker housings.

The diff breather was just long overdue but since I don't do much water crossing, it wasn't a priority.

The washer reservoir and turn signals started because I wanted to take the lower bumper valance off. My "10 minute mod" turned into several other 10 minute/2 hour mods, lol.

I used a Tacoma washer reservoir from a 95-2000 Tacoma so it bolted right on in between the ABS and my airbox. The ABS bracket needed a little "massaging" with a BFH, so I just drilled a new hole slightly rearward and popped in a stainless rivnut to re-mount the top part of the bracket.

Next on my list is to figure out what to do with the forward skid plate mount/radiator protection now that the valance is gone. Will likely get rid of that lower "bumper" that's hidden behind the valance, cut the brackets that mount that "bumper", then get some fine mesh (want to maintain airflow for rad), and shape it to fit between the cross member and bottom of bumper. I don't want to get too into modding that cross member just yet, I do plan on a winch bumper (plate).
