Well, doesn't THIS suck...

This happened in and around San Antonio a few times last year. They were mainly hitting Chevy and GMC dealerships. It was a team of 6-8 guys and they had a semi truck. I think in the last 2 or 3 years they hit 6-7 dealerships around here.

 

I didn't know stealing stock wheels and tires was a "thing".

LMAO. Depends where you live. To those in the boroughs everything is upstate.

 

In western Ny we consider the lower counties the southern tier

 

Stock wheels and tires are EXPENSIVE. every car I have owned I was able to sell the stock wheels and tires for more than I paid for the (Nicer, Better, Lighter, Stronger) aftermarket wheels and tires I replaced them with! It is crazy to me!

 

I work for a Toyota dealership in Hudson Valley.. Sucks to hear even for competition.... that's a big hit for the dealership. those wheels are expensive. could range anywhere from $300-$600 per wheel from factory. YIKES...

Most dealerships have such a high deductible.. I'm curious to see what their process will be to get those wheels replaced...

There was a big problem with catalytic converters in this part of New York a few years back.. the group of guys would slice em out in minutes and go through a whole row of trucks.

This was finally on the news. They found the truck that transported the wheels in Attleboro, Massachusetts.

 

If you live in NJ anything that's not NYC or LI is upstate NY.
