And that stupid driveshaft clunk is back. Guess the carrier bearing wasnt the problem. I'm thinking the slip yoke could be binding up. Noise can be heard (A) when I'm in 4th or 5th and hovering around 1900 rpms with foot barely resting on gas. (B) when I put my foot back on the gas after coasting.

Its like a rythmic popping/clunking. Short bursts of 4 or 5 pops at a time.

This ones got me stumped. Really starting to piss me off. If I take it to a shop, the tech probably won't be able to recreate the noise, adding to my frustration.

Joking aside, it was pretty good by my standards. Fillet Mignon cooked Rare, kept it simple was salt and pepper seasoning pan fried over high heat.

That sucks! Have you checked you're ujoints for play? I replaced my CB at 215K mi & couldn't tell a difference with the new one. My original CB had cracked rubber & excessive play. But I couldn't feel any vibrations or hear any noises. Just replaced it cause I figured it was time.

We cut up our wild game, but other than that I don’t really care as long as I know who’s cow it is, buying beef from the store makes me uncomfortable.

The killer here is that my truck has 64k miles on it. Drivetrain issues shouldnt even be a thing this early in its life. Granted, I did change the angle of the dangle with a 2" AAL, but I dont think it would affect it that much. I'm thinking the slip joint may need a new grease zerk as last time I tried to grease it, I dont think the zerk wanted to open and the grease just poured out all around it. Rust may have plugged it up. Either way, I really had to try to get the truck to make the noise today. The carrier bearing definetly took a lot of play out of the shaft, and made the noise almost go away completely.
