    Newbie here...looking for clarification on TRD exhaust removal/installation steps for my DCLB. Wondering if anyone can confirm these (photos below) are the correct instructions...

    REMOVAL
    1) Disconnect cable from negative battery terminal;

    2) Remove heated oxygen sensor...Where is this located???

    3) Remove exhaust pipe assembly center;

    4) Remove exhaust front pipe assembly no. 2;

    5) Remove exhaust pipe assembly front.

    INSTALLATION
    1) Install exhaust pipe assembly front;

    2) Install exhaust front pipe assembly no. 2;

    3) Install exhaust pipe assembly center;

    4) Install heated oxygen sensor;

    5) Connect cable to negative battery terminal.

    Once the exhaust is installed, recalibration/tuning does not need to be performed, correct?

    I’m open to any and all suggestions (already have new gasket and exhaust hanger removal tool).

    I apologize for the basic questions and appreciate everyone’s knowledge.

    Thanks!

    No need to know anything other than
    • Unbolt the exhaust at the rear side of the Y pipe.
    • You should put soap or some lubricant on the rubber hangers. I removed them by hand, tool wasn't needed.
    • Remove and replace the exhaust.
    I've removed a number of these on my truck and others, no issue, its as straight forward as it would seem. No need to remove the 02 sensors unless you're replacing the Y-pipe, no need to discon. the battery.

    That look like the install for the 2nd Gen 1GR-FE Engine.

    For the 3rd Gen's TRD Exhaust, you simply unbolt 2 bolts, unhook from the hangers and remove the old exhaust. Then in reverse, install the TRD Exhaust.

    8112 front 8100 rear. Method NV with 265/75/16 KO2.
    May not be needed but it make it real fast. When I did exhaust work on my jeep it definitely was needed. Plus I never complain about owning more tools.

    All the things!
    I literally replaced mine this morning using the attached instructions. Super straight forward. Unbolt the two 14mm bolts (at the flange nearest the muffler). Remove the exhaust from the (4) rubber hangers (I used a specialty too for this). Remove the exhaust gasket from the flange.

    Hang the new exhaust from the hangers. Install a new gasket. Tighten the two bolts to 35 ft*lbs.

    Done!

    Took me longer to get the truck into my shop, rear lifted up on jackstands than to remove and install the system.

    Much appreciated! Just wanted to double-check with the conflicting info I found.

    Installing tomorrow...I’ll post a photo or two.

    Thanks again!
