What else do i need?

Just ordered 5100's for all 4 corners, 885 front springs, a 1/4 top plate spacer,(2)

Is the only thing I need now is the aal for rear and alignment? Or is there something obvious that I'm forgetting for my 2015 dcsb 4x4?

 

Should be good, anything else is mostly optional, like UCAs

 

It's recommended you replace your u-bolts, as they stretch when they are torqued down. Your factory ones also may be too short with your aal.

 

Trying to stay with stock UCA if possible which is why I only went with 885's so hopefully they won't be needed. If they are I guess I'll be starting a new thread about trying to find best bang for the buck ones haha.

 

I have 3+1 leafs now and was planning on just using a single leaf aal and not a 3 leaf progress so I hope I can still use the stock ones. I know it's mostly recommend to not reuse a u bolt but I have also reused mine with thousands of issue free miles on multiple lifted vehicles. (not saying it's right so maybe since this is the newest and nicest vehicle I've ever owned I'll gather up some extra shekels and get new ones haha

 

I needed UCA's with 885's, but it seems to be hit or miss whether or not you need them or not. You'll know if you need them.

Light Racing seem to be the cheapest, and the most popular. You may be able to find a used set on here somewhere, that's what I did. Some sandblasting, painting, and new bushings and they're good as new.

 

That's a great idea. Off to the marketplace to search for used UCA's haha.

 

I’d wait. I had that same setup and didn’t need UCAs, alignment was good, drivability was good, tire wear was normal.

Used LR UCAs have no warranty, either.. so up to you if that’s the pursuit. Even if they’re brand new.. they’re only warranted to the original purchaser.

You should be good to go then . I needed longer u-bolts when I had 2+1 leafs and added an AAL because I only had about a quarter inch of thread exposed to try to fit the nut on.

 

I'll hold off til I know they are something absolutely needed. I have a pretty good alignment place I've used before to align an IFS truck with 4 inches of lift and another solid axled 5 inch lifted rig too. So hopefully they can get it taken car of without new UCA's. If I do need them i'll for sure hit you up and see what we can come up with. Thanks!

 

Approaching 2.5" of lift or more, it is HIGHLY recommended that you get aftermarket UCAs. Unless you want to wander on the highway or be in that alignment shop all the time.

Buy once cry once. Might as well do it while it's apart already. My .02.

 

As far as a warranty goes on UCA's: It's a piece of metal with bushings in it. As long as whoever had them before you wasn't jumping the truck they'll probably be fine.

When I put in the single leaf AAL I had the U bolts were not long enough. It was more than a quarter inch, but I wasn't going to leave it like that.

 

I took a gander at mine last night. It didn't look like I had a whole lot of room to work with. How thick is a single aal that provides 1.5-2 inches of lift? And should i got with the 1.5 or 2 inch. Deaver aal is a 1.5-2 and wheelers has 2 different aal that are a.5 and 2 inch lift.

And since this is for the stock application, i need ubolts that are squared and not rounded. Rounded would be for a u bolt flip kit set up correct?
