if you got the moola go for them, if you do not have the money buy some $100 use steps.

or if you are hard pressed on money, but still want to slide go weld on for about half what bolt on costs.

Yes for sliders! If you don't have someone local to weld them on then go bolt on. I prefer weld on but to each their own.
RCI makes some nice armor and bolt on sliders.

If you are building your truck to go offroad, I don't know why you wouldn't want sliders. One of the first things you should get.

I have the same truck along with the same question. Along with... wouldn’t my Predator step rails help to do the same, really??

    You answered your own question.

Seriously, even if I didn't go off pavement, I think I would still get sliders. They cost around the same as side steps and offer way more protection. No brainer.

    No.

They’ll crush like soda cans and destroy your body.

Brother just took his 18 OR 4x4 to the trials with me yesterday. From that experience I would say sliders would be one of the first if not the first upgrade you do.

Sliders for sure, especially without a lift. You want to protect your rocker panels. $700-$1000 investment for sliders vs. $1000+ rocker panel damage. Side steps won't do anything.

Yes sliders... they're not just for rocks. (Slid sideways into a tree going down a tight twisty snow covered trail last winter... when I didn't have my sliders on yet).

Sliders for sure. Bonus I got them on Saturday went to the store last night and found tan paint on my slider, someone’s door got fucked for being careless.

Get a kicker, it'll help with the incident you seen above.
