I had a similar scratch - hit a parking post at the grocery store.
I dutifully fixed it myself with filler putty, primer, rattle can OEM spray, and clear coat, wet sand, compound / buff, polish (there are some good youtube videos on how to do it if you are moderately patient and thorough with prep).
It came out fairly good, but in the end the metallic grey always looked a bit off / different from the rest of the bumper.
After a year, it never stopped bothering me as a reminder of my incompetence (almost mocking me) to the point of I found myself washing the truck less so I didn't have to see it up close
In the end I bit the bullet and paid the $500 plus taxes to have it professionally painted / blended.
Was it a great use of money? probably not - but I don't think about it every time I jump in the truck anymore.

I would put the money towards a steel or aluminum bumper. That plastic is to fragile for a truck. I went to eat breakfast Saturday and came out to find mine crunched by someone who can’t drive. Doesn’t take much to do it.

Would of been nice to see their paint on your steel bumper.

Just f*cked up my bumper a few weeks ago. Their Cement spray paint is pretty spot on.

No I just pushed the dent out and popped the plastic back in place. There is a couple light creases visible and some scuffing. I’m getting a dash cam so next time the person responsible will get a bill.
