I’m down for flying bacon. Is that a new feature of 1.05? I’ll buy a second tune if it means more bacon

Why do you say it was awful?
That is the one I plan on using :( we only get 90 around here too(I know it would work in this case, but still)

Terrible misfiring below 1500rpm. Transmission shifted very hard all the time. Always wanted to downshift. No low end power. It was better then stock but far from perfect or acceptable.

I’m hoping 1.05 fixes this. The way Mat has described the issues with the software in the ecu and the way it is so over written and unpredictable makes me wonder what Toyota could have been possibly thinking.

My wife’s Prius V is far more enjoyable to drive with 105k on it then my 17 Taco with 17k on it.

To use this do I need to purchase Currently the only kits available are software kits. You will need to purchase the required OBDII cable separately from www.tactrix.com ?

I have wondered but have very little misfire running the 91 tune.

Well I've run both, I get some lugging around 12-1400rpm. But no misfire on either ever. I had a misfire on 1.03 once. I swapped out my CPS before I bought the tune maybe do it just in case.

I know there is a detailed walkthrough on how to replace it somewhere on this forum, and I have thought of doing it. It would misfire so bad on the stock tune and 87 tune that the whole truck would shake. But never threw a code.

It’s very very easy. Some remove the tire. I didn’t and I had no problems.
