I went to Lin Lam at Penske Toyota of Downey. Special ordered the same exact truck that you’re looking for in cement grey but with a MT. Paid $32,800 but it ended up being $36,500 OTD. 10k down with good credit $399/mo.

That's a good deal...Same truck in black with diff. extras over $39K and with rebate $6K off $33,200 before trade, money down, taxes and fees. Unless we are both in the same part of the country, other folks should shoot for the same discount if they are getting a TRD or Limited

Well, I got the biggest slap in the face possible by my local dealer today. Keep in mind, I just bought my '17 4runner TRD Off-Road Premium from them in July of last year. I was literally speechless when I saw it. My anger must've shown because the finiance guy (whom i know personally) piped up and said "these are just preliminary numbers, it looks like we're a little off, huh?" I said yea, we're a long way off and left. So, now the ball is in my court, I guess? The GM emailed me and asked if he could help with price or on my trade value. I mean, 31k for a barely used 4runner with 18k miles? GTFO.

Don’t let it phase too much, they always lowball at first. A lot of people go for it because they think oh wow that’s all it’s worth? I always like to negotiate the truck price first and don’t even mention trade in, then I bring it in later to make sure I’m getting the right price for it. Just keep shopping around, but stay out of the dealership until your going to sign and pickup your new truck.

    agree with Sub_Par.

Like I stated before a good deal seems to be about 5-6k off msrp. Which honestly is not even that good of a deal I think.

I hope the best to everyone buying from the stealership, I hate walking into the dealer its like throwing my self to a pack of hungry wolfs. Literally can not believe a single word the say. But yet again it is there job and lively hood so what can we do about it.

They trucks on a train right now. They won't even have it for another week or two. I think they're bluffing on the numbers anyway. I'll wait until it shows up and play hardball then.

When I traded in my last Tacoma, I had a few dealers low ball the crap out of me. Just call around to others. They’ve got no loyalty because you bought from them. My dealer was one of the worst for pricing.

I bet you could sell the 4Runner privately and do much better. Good luck.

Have an offer for a 19 DCLB OR with Tech for 35953. Still on the lookout for deals on 18s with the same specs under that offer. Willing to travel so if anybody knows of a dealer trying to move the last of their 18’s let me know!

Sounds like a descent price on a 2019. What's MSRP?

I've used it for 8 years. It's always discounted off of MSRP. It's not just at invoice at all. Sometimes it's well below.

So it IS off MSRP? That's what the dealer is saying. I still feel like I can find one for under 37k that's loaded if I keep looking. However, the 18s are becoming more and more difficult to find and deals on the 19s won't be as good right away.

If your looking for a specific color and package, then your deal won’t be as good if the dealer won’t haggle. If your open to other colors and options then you can get a better deal. Obviously never let them know they have the exact one you want and no one else does. I told my dealer that I was open to colors and options and accessories didn’t matter to me. When we got to a good price I told them I wanted the white one on their lot.

truecar.jpg Yup. Here's a screen shot from the dealer portal. All info pertaining to the customer removed. Ignore the minimum estimated. The 19's just came out and all the pricing isn't updated yet. The second line at the bottom, where I took the VIN out is how it's really set up.

I found a black OR loaded at Romeoville Toyota in Illinois for $36,322. That's the best price I've seen advertised by a dealer. However, it's a no haggle price, so probably not getting it any cheaper. Should I pull the trigger? I really wanted Cement, dammit haha.

If you’re comfortable with the price and feel it’s good then do it. Depending on msrp that could be a great deal.
