Same. Though I have a reusable filter because of the S/C so I am always banging it out. If I don't I have almost zero power on the way home.

Am I missing something here... What dust are you talking about? I follow more people through the dust out in the desert and snorkel or not, your air filter is getting blasted. I still use the same dryflow air filter every time.

with my snorkel top i never need to clean my filter out. and the people i roll with (including myself) are always creating clouds of dust

either way, if you dont need one dont get one. i use mine often for multiple reasons, so i got one. it looks like shit so i didnt rush to get it.

It doesn’t work for everyone. If you don’t think you need one, then don’t buy it.

The idea is to try and collect air from a source that is not as dirty. If you’re in a group or anywhere where dust is, typically the large particals stay lower being they are heavier. If you move your air induction to a higher point, you get less large particles.

If you’re using a reusable filter, typically you’re causing more harm than good anyway since they are not as effective as filtering air as the OEM and your engine is eating all of that dirt anyway. This is a generic statement and I’ve seen this with K&N, I can’t speak for all reusable filters.
