Yeah the European legit ones are stamped. You talking about the one on that for-sale motor? And if it's good.. id definitely be interested. You don't need it? Or the headers? They look like the lce ones

The float is a different deal altogether.

I would disconnect the throttle cable from the carb, and try to actuate the throttle by hand. If it sticks, then you should clean the carb and rebuild. Check all shaft bushings etc for play and any old age-ness. If the carb doesn't stick, I would suspect the cable needs lubing!

I already have a weber carb and headers. It's a good price as it sits, I was just thinking of keeping the block and head to have a spare if I blow mine up. That way I can rebuild it with time.

oh nice! ok. big improvement with the weber and headers? did you do the conversion yourself? I would definitely be interested.. if the weber is good to go. Dont want to have to rebuild that one too.

This is just an idea so far. I'll message the guy and start seeing if its still available. Don't get your hopes up yet but wanted to see if your up for used parts.
I did the weber carb 4 years ago, It just simplifies engine tuning. Getting rid of vacuum lines was great.

yeah man, no problem. I'm still researching the best option too.. getting prices fro rebuilds, etc. see, if its just the simplicity.. and no other big gains, then I may just leave it stock and do a rebuild on the factory carb. the headers tho I'm definitely interested in if everything works out.

Got a high end quote from a Carb shop call Fuel System Specialists. $300 for them to pull the carb, rebuild it, install, and tune. might be cheaper depending on what they find. Most likely going that route. I'm not 100% sold on the Weber conversion yet.. so I'll just go with this and get it reliable for now.

Time my friend.. just not too much of it anymore.

I'm definitely getting my hands on this this little truck. Already have.. but some things I just don't have the time and or patience for. There's things I like the professionals to handle .

With these older trucks, you'll have to learn it now or later.
If I was near you I would offer help.
I'd start with looking under the valve cover for the chain retainer, then maybe checking valve clearance. These are free/cheap inspections, and if there's an issue, you need to get these fixed first.

appreciate it man! would definitely be fun wrenching on these together! I've just gotten so used to the 1st and 2nd gens.. this is all new to me. need to just jump in and learn by trial and error like I did on the others. just intimidating at first. especially the Carb  I'll dive into it this weekend. this will be the first time I can actually get my hands really on it. just been busy

Hey Guys, I picked up a 1983 Toy 4x4 that has a Weber Carb 32 36. I got a rebuild kit, but no instructions. Anybody know of a good YouTube link or pictorial set of instructions? Much appreciated.

You may want a new filter too.
I have not seen a video on the kit, but most gaskets are unique and only fit one way so a rebuild is pretty straight forward.

You can look into the bowl breather vent mod if you’re taking the carb apart. It’s needed if you’re going to take the truck off road

No idea what a bowl breather vent mod is. Still working on the Weber 32 36 like a "blind squirrel". Gonna keep trying and will hopefully find a nut or a set of tear-down & rebuild instructions. There are about 100 YouTube Videos on the original Aisin 22R Carb and not one good one for the Weber.
