AR172 Baja 16x8 Rims On 2nd Gen

    Looking for someone who is running these AR172 Baja rims that are 16x8, 0mm offset, and 4.5 back spacing. I’ve read lots of places where people have the 17” rims but I’m wondering if I can fit the set up described above on my second gen. If anyone is running these rims please chime in on your experience!

    i have the 17s, but i am planning to rotate tires this weekend and can look to see if there is room and report back....

    fyi i was able to get 4wheelparts to match the Amazon price which was the cheapest I could find....

    Thanks for the input. I see that Amazon actually has the 16x8's for $88.25 and free shipping..... very tempting! Are you on a stock suspension with the 265/75/r16 tires? Any rubbing or issues?

    I called a local retailer that sells the AR172 baja's and they said they can have some rims shipped to the shop and can install them to check clearance. The rims should be here later this week they said. I'll be sure to share my experience here on fitment. I'll also see if they will price match the Amazon price.

    Yes, stock suspension.

    A little rubbing on the back end of the front wheel well during tight turning over a bump, but trimmed it with a utility blade and painted the white part of my truck that you could see with matte black farm equipment paint... can't tell at all.

    ..... I assumed you were looking for the clearance over the brake caliper....way back when i was considering these rims, I took the measurements and drew the OEM vs the AR172 and overlayed them to see the difference.....these rims give additional clearance between the tire and UCA (roughly .4"-.5" more - if I recall correctly with OEM rims, there was barely enough room to put my finger between the tire and UCA) .....as well as stick out farther (roughly.9"-1.0"), giving about a 2" wider stance....... I never measured to confirm my calcs when all was said and done, but it was right in line with what i had expected to see.... my suspension is not stock so I can't speak about rub.... hope this helps...

    if anyone gets these, it might be a good idea to throw a coat of paint on the center caps.... 2nd winter and they are orange with surface rust
