I have just recently bought 2017 trd off-road 4x4 wanting lift didn’t want spacers due to all the negatives and cheapness of them I’ve looked at many and will be mainly on road and during hunting season some light trails and also pulling trailer with atv wanting decent ride to stock but wanting close to level and bigger tires and some ray 10 wheels wanting to know if anyone has done these and pics I’ve looked at Eibach which seems good and the one kit just not sure what setup I should get please thanks

I would choose the old man Old Man Emu. I have all OME springs on my truck with 5100s and it rides pretty well.

I just installed OME 887s with softride nitrochargers all around and Headstrong’s 3 leaf AAL kit for the rear. Got 2” front and back. Rides great, stock UCAs, aligned fine, and was under $900.

I did the OME 885 with 5100s front and rear and the wheelers progressive AAL to keep the factory rack with 2 inches front and rear. I also did the ECGS bushing as a preventive measure since the front end was apart. All in with parts were just under $800.

    4 days after lift.jpg

You can put it all together for that price except for the bushing and add a driver side lean spacer at headstrong offroad.

Can you comment on the ride and height gain?

Ride height is about 2.6-2.65 inches of gain and ride is similar to stock. Good quality so far.

I just had the eibach pro truck lift installed on my 2017 Tacoma TRD OR yesterday. My only comparison is with the stock suspension, which I put 20k miles on. So far I've only driven 70 miles with the new suspension, but it does feel better than the old suspension. It is very smooth and soaks up the bumps in the road. I hope to test it off roading soon. I had mine set to the second highest setting and lifted my truck about 2 inches. I also went up one tire size. I now have 265-75-R16 Falken Wildpeak AT3W tires on my stock wheels. So far I'm very happy with the results. I'll post some pics very soon.

Do your research. Pay once cry once.
I have the OME kit front and back with dakar's and I wish I spent more and only got it done once...they are a bit stiff even with the 2888 springs. OME is designed more for overlanders who run alot of weight. If I went with Bilstein it would be the 8112's and 5160's.

Now I have the ADS 2.5 extended travel with clicker resistance so I can dial in the suspension in the front for my needs whether highway, offroading, or towing. However, these are coilovers and they are $$$ compared to standard shocks...heavy too each coilover weighs like 40-50lbs!

Really interested in this kit?? Do the coils actually do the lifting or is it like the Bilstein 6112 set up where the the coils are just stock replacements and you still have to use the perch/ clips to get your lift? If they do need to be "perched" what setting are you on?

How does it ride compared to stock? I need a kit to throw on until I get my big pay day in about 8 months (law suit), and I cant stick with these damn stock shocks....crap!

The Eibach coils lift the rig, I went with the eibach shocks set at zero as they’re adjustable just like the 5100’s. I actually went with Fox 2.0 smooth body’s in the rear for the rebuild factor. I didn’t need UCA’s and it aligned perfect. It rides smooth on the road and the off-road capability has been on par with OME’s.

Keep it rolling. I used to be a sports car guy and Eibach has a great name over there, but you don't hear much from them on the off-road side. Anyone with a longer-term review?
