Just know that Bottas was winning but was told to let Hamilton by so he could win more points and save some tire. Otherwise it would have been Bottas, Vettel then Hamilton.

I have no real issues with team orders most times but that was lame by Mercedes to not switch Bottas and Hamilton back at end of the race so that Wonderboy could have a 50 point lead instead of a 47 point lead

Fishlips' first nine laps or so were pretty nice too.

Wow MB is emphatically back on top. I hope they get a chance later to square it with BOT because that was harsh. Holy crap VER passing everything in sight on yellow tires no less. LEC put on a fine show too.

Drivers completely understand that but they are also very intense competitors. They need to trust that the team will let them race, and win, whenever possible and today was borderline.

It's upsetting to watch. As a fan I want nothing more than the drivers to fight til the very end. It's become a fixed match and it ruins it for me.

At that point you might as well do a full canopy.

I saw that as well. If Lewis really felt like Bottas deserved the win he should have stopped short at the finish line letting him by.

This all reminds me of that farce with Schumacher and Barrichello at Indy. That podium was painful to watch. I see nothing wrong with supporting Lewis for his championship against Vettel. He could have a DNF or penalties in the remaining races and losing the title by the differential between 1st and 2nd at Sochi would be stupid from his perspective. Sack up and own the fact that Lewis is fighting for the driver's championship and Valteri isn't. All this teeth gnashing seems so insincere.

There should always be variables for drivers and you shouldn't be handed a win. If you lose a race and some points because a driver out qualified you and out drove you in a race then so be it. Many Championships have been lost by only a few points and that is how it should be.
