since the core charge is just refunded when they receive your old it's no different.

everyone makes fun over overlanders till they get back from doing some real riding and they have a hot meal fixed for you in there portable kitchen stove and Voss water.
plus on saturday game days they use their remote directv for bama football. probably just made @BamaTaco56 dick hard.

Combining tailgating and trail riding

 

I've spent years traveling this country backpacking, camping, biking, canoeing, kayaking. Sleeping in tents, hammocks, shelters, open air, and tarps. Fighting scorpions, tarantulas, skeeters and chiggers, mice and rats. I'm getting to old to do that now. I like coming back from hiking to a nice camp and comfy place to sleep. Plus, a lot of time I'm solo so I have to have enough gear to get me out if I get in trouble. My truck is capable of going anywhere I want and I do comfortably now.

 

There are a lot more places to see in this country besides Bankhead, Chocco and Talladega Nf

True. And I have Seen LOTS of it that way. Done it both ways and still sleep in a hammock every now and then. But I'm not ground sleeping anymore. Years of that, not doing it anyore. I can afford the gear, I'm using it.

 

I'm not trying to harsh anybodies gig. If you want to truck camp out of a ground tent, cool. Give me a call I'll go with you, I, like most of everyone here, just enjoy being out doors. I'm saying this is they way I prefer to travel now. I've done all the UL backpacking and minimalist gear. Hell, my last 85 mile hike, my start weight on my pack was 15lbs and finished with less than 6lbs. I know you dont need all the gear, but it's nice to have now. Just never understood why folks want argue.

I don't know why people disagree with the way anybody enjoys the outdoors. I ride with overlanders and rock crawlers really enjoy both.
