It's no good to anyone if it restricts your fun and you have to pay out the ass to be held back. But someone's gotta live there I suppose, thanks for taking one for the team :)

It's not the speed that's fun, it's the acceleration. After dragging in Spokane a bunch with friends, anything past 95 feels the same but how quick you can get to 95 can be one hell of a rush. But I'm building a GT car, not a drag monster so that tells you how important it is to me too, I just want things to happen when I use the pedal. 450hp or so should make something happen I think, and that's pretty meh in the grand scheme of power I think

Yes, I have, pulling a trailer. And even still I'll pass you slow fuckers revved out in 2nd gear with 6k# behind me in the cruiser.

Thought you were talking about grapevine. I only drive the PCH if I'm gonna bother with coast towns, and not with a trailer cause that makes it less fun.

Man I hope the Transmission shop can hear this stupid noise when I take it in tomorrow. Its being super intermittent. Toyota's policy was "if we can't hear it, we dont inspect anything." If they take it for a spin and dont hear it, I'll still ask to have it looked at. I want this dang thing fixed so I can dump more money on mods.

Mine's all done around 92. Tried to see how fast I could go loaded down last time through Utah. I could keep holding the gas and it would climb but it was gaining so slow at that point I consider it useless speed.

    Isn’t the limiter at 95ish?

My new truck can get goin a lot easier than my old truck, sometimes I look at the Speedo and gotta get nervous.

Then I remember I’m in Nowhere, WY and calm down.

I think it is at 105, at least that's when mine cuts fuel. Really easy to bypass on the early trucks just put a switch on the speed sensor circuit haha
