Best of Luck it is not the Fabrication side it is the business end that tends to cause problems.

I hope you have another source of income to keep the bills paid till your name gets established

Savings account ! After the last ten years in Nuclear service I decided I was ready to be my own boss. I have spent many years fabricating all sorts of tight tolerance parts from welding and line boring pump cases and making/repairing all sorts of parts that haven't been reproduced in 40+ years. Sliders and a few off road parts are something that I can build fairly easily and help out people close to Charlotte that can't choke down an additional $300.00 for shipping. This will be a hobby unless it turns into something which is fine also.

Let's see if you guys can help me find a bumper build on here. The builder used rectangular tube slipped inside of the frame rails to create a frame and cross member for the winch plate. Then they built the rest of the bumper off of that frame. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

    No, but sounds kinda cool.
I am actually rebuilding my front core support and frame crossmember prior to my own bumper build.

Not that one. The one I’m thinking of had a row of exposed bolts running around the new sub frame.

Just eyeballing everything, maybe the best way to get enough strength for the winch is to run some rectangular tube into the frame rails and cross bolt it. Cutting the front frame apart anyway, may as well make it stout. Thanks for the perfectly timed post @SMKYTXN

There's a free TT koozie in it for whoever finds the bumper first. :D

Sounds like @JLee front bumper. Except his whole front frame was replaced with rectangle firewall forward in doing his SAS.

I was thinking it might be @JLee , but I couldn't find a picture of it. I'll go digging again.
