That's stupid expensive for what's basically automotive waste

 

Are you kidding me!? That is asinine. I paid $150 for mine! They go for $200-300 SHIPPED on eBay.

You need to make a spreadsheet and call junkyards around your state. That's what I did. When I found the junkyard that would give me the best deal, I gave them my business. It just happened to be in the next state over and a six hour drive.

My best advice to you is do your research. It took me six months to research, call around, etc. I still feel like I didn't do enough research. After my conversion there's still so many things I would've done differently.

 

I'm still salty you didn't save that manual axle tube off your old truck for me.

I had to beg someone on here to separate it for me.

 

If it had an ARB in it then sure

 

The ring and pinion better be made of solid Gold, and the differential oil better be Don Perignon if I'm paying $600 for a used front differential.

My guy if I recall correctly gets $700 for the complete front frame section. Includes diff, axles, spindles, brakes, steering rack, complete suspension etc....
He wacks the frame off about 4 inches behind the shock tower.
