What is the factory transfer case ratio? Is it 2.57:1?

    This is true.

the12volt.com will be the best source for you- they have it broken down to where they tell you what color and where it's located, for every wire you need, unless you're going full custom.

It's jut NOT hard, unless you start getting into CANBUS. Even then, there are modules to simplify it, it's just pricey.

With you on this. I buy the PDF and print it out in a binder with page protectors. Best of all worlds.

Got my door vapor barriers interior panels on. I also sprayed cavity wax in the doors. I'd say the truck is close now. The bumper will have to come back off for wiring the winch and lights later. I'm on the fence if I will keep this truck, might be for sale soon. I know I won't get what I got into it, but itching for something new.

Is that ribbon sealer what that black goop holding the moisture barrier is?

I'll have to re-do my moisture barrier with that. I used a tube of auto silicone, doesn't work very well can be used over and over.

What's that stuff you put in the cavity?

Duct tape works very well, too.

Sometimes, "redneck" is a good answer! :)

Finally got my camper shell painted this afternoon. Closed in 3 of 4 sides. Nason basecoat/clearcoat leftover from painting my truck over a year ago. Harbor Freight HVLP spray gun (about $15.00).

Turned out pretty good, but now of course the window frames and gaskets look like crap. I had wet sanded it in and all day rain with 400, 600, and 1000 grit paper. That is the original primer showing, so I did not prime it.

The cavity wax protects the inside of the door from rusting.

I'm still putting this truck together like I'm keeping it forever. I can't bring myself to use duct tape. To me any job worth doing is worth doing it right.

Weird how that butthole dark green Toyota was using in the late 90s to 2000+ actually grows on you. I knew it'd be a sharp taco. Nice truck.

    Thank you.

I am definitely an amateur, but I always say: "hey, it's just and old 1995 truck". Takes the pressure off me.

Thanks for the info. It was spout seal I started with first, it was a different size gasket and was glued in.

I always hated Toyota Dark Greens until I joined this forum and saw what people can do with them. Now its probably my favorite color on a 1st gen.
