    Been a busy day. Two interviews today and one tomorrow morning.[/QUOTE]
    Should I apply. Have lots of time, and little desire to actually work. Paycheck and benefits are OK tho! :laser::facepalm:

    Hahaha. I'm doing all I can!

    @Oldie2007

    I'll think about retirement in about thirty years... Until then, it's pedal to the metal and I'll do my best to bring the milk and cookies home to the girls.

    Good for you. Think all you can about putting something away. Took me forever to get smart. If you have company offered opportunities, check the best box you can. I was SO SLOW to actually make money, and then to take advantage..... BUT, if you have 30 years, I will tell you now that deciding to put it away will benefit you and the kids.

    Signed, slow learner, but glad I got caught up. Otherwise, I would NOT be in this group.
    Peaches and gloves!

    Amen to that. Your advice is the same my Dad gave me at the onset. I've been fortunate to have been saving for retirement since I was 18; some years were better than others, but I always tried to maximize my 401k and keep a safety net on the side. I have known too many people who retired with almost nothing set aside for retirement and died working some demeaning BS job. If I live long enough to make it to retirement, I'd like to have a good one. And if I don't, at least the family will have something in my place...

    ...a big ole lifesize cardboard cut out of me, paid for by my retirement fund.

    Oh heck, I am a Dad again! Good, good, good for you. I always had crap paying jobs and finally got to where I had a chance to put something away. You are VERY smart, and lucky to have that chance at an early start.

    And since I am not fully funded for my yacht and island home, what exactly are you interviewing for? Just kidding, and just curious. I know very little about most of you, so just for context!

    Anyone dealing with Chemo, is an inspiration to me. I had to get radiated (before this miracle laser stuff), and it didn't make me sick, but sure impacted my life. I bet that you, like me, don't like those "ribbon" reminders, but be assured, it's everyone's way of showing support. Best of the best buddy!
