I've got 2.5hrs of commuting on flat/rolling highways and stop and go traffic tomorrow. I'm stock with the exception of the TRD air intake. Running 1.04 87. No TSB, but maybe not bad to have someone without the TSB try the new tune out and provide feedback @OVTune ? I could toss my stock intake back on, I have been considering it lately

Seeing as how that's the way alot of us are going to be upgrading, having not done the TSB yet.

    I know right!

Extrapolate that to when you are 80% throttle!

Did you figure this out? I'm getting the same thing...."there was a problem preparing selected file. Probably corrupted or has unsupported format" when I try to flash it.

Please 1.05 can’t come quick enough. I’m on 1.04 and the “learning” has definitely came back. The hesitation and lunging when rolling into the throttle is just as bad as stock. The increase in power is there, but the driveability is horrible. My wife took it earlier, came back home and said WTF is wrong with your truck:rofl:
    I said it’s a feature:D

    Thousands

Edit- maybe reflash just to make sure everything flashed properly. The learning in 1.04 is 100% elimated according to Matt. Or has he said “its been programmed to learn nothing”

This may sound crazy but I always disconnect my battery 30 seconds. Reconnect. Tune

It may be a placebo, but it feels like the tune settles better after 250 miles

Disconnect the negative battery lead for 10-15 mins and it should help. Did some wiring this weekend and couldn’t believe the responsiveness once I reconnected the lead.

Really ODD that disconecting the negative is fixing this issue for some. From my understanding the only thing that this should do is reset your fuel trims as far as the “tune” goes.

The only thing that changes on mine is the jerky downshifting. Some days it’s there others it’s not

I'm hoping 3rd is held until 31mph again!

1.04R with more power and hold the gears longer under 'getting up to speed' load. Perfection.

1.04R's gear changes are silky smooth and the braking is far better than 1.04 as it feels like a direct connection between your foot and brake pads.
I didn't get chosen as a tester :( Eagerly awaiting some feedback.

Anyone else find it odd how there was nothing but praise for 1.04 when it came out, but now people are really negative about it? When it first came out it was the best thing that ever happened. Is it because the latest ECU calibration from Toyota is that much better? Or people just want to throw 1.04 under the bus and get going on 1.05? I don't get it.

    1.04 holds 3rd to 35 mph for me with 265/75/16 AT3s

It is one of the ultimate flaws with humans.

We are never satisfied. Yet when we have nothing we are never more greatful.

That would drive me insane, jerky throttle and 2200rpm would be horrendous! I guess the tires dumb down the throttle a bit but the rpm is still high.

When I first flashed 1.04r it felt great, almost 1k miles later I feel that driving characteristics arent the same as when first flashed, despite the consensus that “learning” has been disabled. I feel like reflashing 1.04r again, just to reassure myself that I’m not crazy
    Edit
Just reflashed 1.04r lol, looking forward to drive tomorrow morning

Hearing this has be scared. I hope mine feels more like a cable throttle body like my camaro versus the drive by wire this truck has. Anyone ever drive an 02 Era tundra? That had the best drive by wire system I have ever felt on a car
