So the headlights are effectively the TRD units (non-Pro) without the LED strip?

That was one of the neat parts of the original SR is that you got the Pro headlights on a non-Pro truck. I wish Toyota would drop the price on the Pro headlights (I know the Depo units are 99% of the look for 50% of the money, but I prefer OEM over aftermarket where I can) or at least make the Pro have factory HID / LED to justify the cost.

I'm sure Toyota will sell a bunch of these.

The V6 SR with with the SX package is bumping up against $33K though. Yikes.

Are the TSS features now standard across all Toyota Tacoma lines?

Neat package offered by Toyota. Black wheels, grilles, trim pieces, etc. have been trending for a while and don’t appear to be slowing down.

I was wondering what was up with the head lights. They don't look as if they have the LED DRL strip. Yet have some black accents thrown in. WTF? That does not seem like a cost affective measure for Toyota, to make all these various models of headlights for the same vehicle.

I think all TRD models have the LED DEL, along with the limited trim. SR, and SR-5 have the amber DRL.

Second gen Pro, actually had the SR head lights. The SR I think came out as a 13 and/or 14, I think the TRD Pro was only available as a 15.

I don't understand the debadging on the 19's?? My 18 SR only has the front emblem on the grille and the Tacoma stamped on the tailgate. There's no other badging anywhere. Now they're charging you for black mirrors and black mirrors were standard on the Utility Package? Wth?

It wasn't 2013, but I think you're right, it was pre-2015. At the time the cost of the OEM lights was high enough I simply painted the assemblies on my 2013.

You have the SR. The SR in the 2G trucks wasn't the base model like the SR is in the 3G trucks. The SX as described here is new for the 3G, although I believe it was a trim level available on the original 1G trucks too.

I have an OR. Was just being a smart alec when I realized I'd done everything to my rig to make it an unofficial SX.

My TRD Sport with the Access Cab was $31,900.

Not sure why I would pay about the same for an SR that you can’t even get with a MT?

    Oh well.

My TRD OR DCSB was 32.2.
Or Push button start, locking rear diff, power sliding rear window, MTS, or crawl control...
I'm sure dealers will move on the price, but it is going to be awfully close to TRD pricing.
I like it though, and if a good enough deal can be had on it, it will be a good deal. I imagine it will be very popular regardless.

The black ones look really nice. Too bad they got rid of the MT.

My 16 also doesn’t have any of the safety stuff, which I may want in the future.

The SR SX is on my radar.

I am waiting for my dealer to confirm this also. They are having a hard time getting me any information, its like corporate never informed them of this package.
Its hard to go off the the build site online because of the way its set up.

Is that 4wd? Because I am looking at around 32 MSRP for a 4wd SR with the SX package, I am trying to get it for under 30k.
