Yup you really have to brace the towers against each other uca gussets, engine e cage is smart but not strictly required. LT puts a shitload of extra stress on the front, think of it like this @what road How can it make your ride so nice without working extra hard

the tower gussets and it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to add some extra material around the top of the shock tower that the coilover bolts go through..

Yeah, what you should really do is make hats that bolt to the top of the shock tower using the coilover bolts and then weld a bar to those hats that goes over the engine to tie the towers together so they cannot flex independently.

I don't plan on jumping it like troght trucks. But i'll reinforce the rear section on the frame and the coil buckets. If I need to cage the engine I'll have a frame built for that.

Yeah, what I was thinking but for pavement after we install it I think stock would be ok just nothing more serious than what I have been doing so far.

might need to hire his skills for a couple reinforcing jobs lol

I need to learn to tig better, it's the only one I don't feel confident in doing work for others with.

im not great at welding. but i practice when i can.. tigs all i got right now.. sold the stick welder.. looking at an ESAB welder soon.. maybe a miller. i prefer miller.. but the ESABS seem great for the price... owned by victor torch, theyre not unknown stuff. its good quality..

me father does a lot of welding at work.. he can do aluminum, stainless, pretty much anything... if only i could lol

That's pretty cool still, the only one I have formal training with is stick. I can stick weld really well. MIG, well anyone can MIG weld but I'm pretty damn confident in that too. The only one I never really learned is TIG, I really want to TIG stainless and thin alum. Thick alum I have a spool gun for.

When I took my stick test...

not bad not bad. honestly the first time i ever welded was in my machine shop class in high school... he taught us how to weld with an oxy-acy torch... now theres an art few people bother to learn.. but it put you ahead of everyone else learning to weld for sure

We learned GMAW but it was never my forte, eventually I'll learn that better because it is the best for making exhausts quickly.

the one tool i wish i had at home is a oxy-acy torch... map gas works.. but not fast enough... nothing gets a bolt free faster than just turning it to a liquid
