    It's like horrible.

Most I want to push is 10 pounds. But I'm not sure if I want meth or water when I do it cause I plan on running the 7th injector

You can do a 5th injector and a controller or in my case, huge fuel pump, boost referenced fuel pressure regulator, and larger (pink top) injectors with improved spray pattern. My truck responds to boost pretty well like that, the meth fattens it up at the top end too. May have to install a piggyback to make better use of my larger injectors when I drive the boost up again though. There are lots of ways to make power with these though

From what I've heard that hold up under increased power really really well too. What do you think you make now on 5 pounds? And how big of an increase will it be going up to 11?

The 3RZ is pretty happy to take boost, maybe not quite as happy as the 2RZ with it's slightly more stout rotating assembly but still very good power potential. I'd love to cam the 3RZ and really scrape some power out of the top end too. Right now I think I'm making about 205-210HP depending on timing advance (biggest varying factor in my EFI setup), but I should be able to scrape close to 265-270HP at 11psi. Which is really way more than enough outta this thing

You meaning at the wheels? 260-270 would be insane haha, even 205 at the wheels seems like a ton, especially for a 4 banger. Damn haha I'm wishing I had a supercharged 3rz instead of a 3.4 right now

Nah, this would be at the crank, wheels is quite a bit less given my gearing and tire size and weight. Probably closer to 225-235 making it to the wheels. I'm hoping to solve that issue when I go to 35s because 5.29 will make the drivetrain losses less noticable. 3RZ is underrated as far as engine go, it is super easy to work on, lots of engine bay room, makes good power for its size. V6 is good too, but I think it is a lot harder to make power with, it already has problems with pinging so boost really exacerbates that.

That's still plenty though. Yeah that's one of the big appeals to me, not that a 3.4 is hard to work on, but it doesn't get much easier then a 4 banger. Broken down in the woods I'd way rather work on a 3rz. But stock they are a little slow, I test drove one before buying my truck and it was wayyy too slow for me

True but I think if you can solve those issues you'd have a much better setup with a boosted 5vz then the 3rz. In terms of low end power and reliability as a daily

And even at the crank that's what, 120 over stock? That's a ton

Yeah, give or take. But most of us when we boost these engines are throwing an extra 75 easy

Yeah a manual is pretty much a must for the 4 bangers, and if you got unlucky and drove one with 3.58 gears then you'd likely want to shoot yourself ( i had 3.58s and boy was my green truck slow).

But look how simple it is under here...

Even with the SC cluttering up the right side which is usually just as clear and open as the left

Yeah thankfully my engine is actually kinda ideal for higher boost because the head has less than 30k on it, and the bottom end has 270K or so on it so the ring gap is a bit looser (this is good for boost, keeps them from tightening up and cracking the piston or destroying the ringlands), and the oil clearances are a bit greater so oil is being slung everywhere keeping things cool and keeping the bearings from being impacted under boost. Honestly the 8-9psi pulley would have been ideal for me but it is discontinued, so now there is only 4psi, 6psi, or 11psi....

Yeah even with it looks like you still have tons of room. I'm assuming the one I drove had 4.10's being a manual 4x4 but it was still a complete dog compared to a 3.4, I could have lived with it stock, but on 33's it would have been bad. And I probably wouldn't have been able to really tow stuff that I have

There's lots of room, unfortunately the 4cyl trucks don't have the same automatic assumption of 4.10 gears like the 6 typically does. My truck with 4.10s and 33s plus all my armor could boogie even without the SC, but with the 3.58 just having 31s and nothing else it was a huge dog and I hated it, when I put armor on it was so unbearable slow. 4.30 is like the perfect stock ratio for a manual 4cyl with 33s. But I'll be happy to have 5.29 and 35s.

Oh it must not have then, I just assumed 4.10's but that makes sense because it seemed way slower then it should. It was a 250k truck with a rebuilt motor that only had a few thousand on it so I was expecting it to be peppy and it was a dog
