My fabricator buddy welded crossmembers to the trailer frame. Then built the rack from there. His company is Alabama caster and equipment in Pelham Alabama.

Love the use of the trailer. I am debating a trai,er right now. My goeal had been to do 7x 14 trailer and build it out the way we want. But i have ability to get a smaller cargo at great price and do a similar rooftop setup. Maybe as intemediate plan.

My other new to RTT question is do some just put them on their beds? I imagine most if not all are a little to long for the 5 foot bed but with proper framing, to include slide outs to the rear, could we just use the bed as the base?
I say that as like the lower into the tent height and also have a working Shepard addicted to sleeping in the tent when camping, thus much easier to get his 100 pound butt inside!

You're shitting me. I live in Pelham! I'd like to speak with him about a setup similar to yours if I decide to go that route. How stable is the trailer when you are in the tent. It appears you might have stabilizer jacks

I read this and laughed hard. Small world. Good luck on your setup. TW is a great place.

Rad, you should have said hi, sorry I missed a TW member up there. Only Tacoma I noticed was green with VT plates if I remember..... in MRP that is, I saw quite a few in Old Forge area.

And yes, my GFC and one other in Western Mass, I believe we’re the only two in the NorthEast right now.

It was in the MRP. I have a 2nd gen and had two canoes on the roof. If you had been stopped somewhere, I would have stopped. I would have liked to check out the camper.

Yea. I did see you I remember now. I’ll be up again this weekend for the Overland Bound East Get together if you wanna see it. I plan on being in Old Forge at a brewery around 2 in the afternoon. Fulton Chain Craft Brewery to be specific. Let me know.

Not mine, but that appears to be a Hardigg case... i have one very similar but mine is MUCH more abused.

It’s Pelicans “military” line. For when normal pelican cases just aren’t tough enough... I believe mine was used to ship computers around the globe....
