It's a little long... HAHAHAHAHA typical I know... but here is my excursion while doing Swansea-Cerro Gordo Road this past Feb. Please do NOT pay any attention to my 2wd comments. Long story short, I thought I was on a 2wd trail because I looked at so many different trails in my off-road book and for some reason 2wd stuck in my thoughts??? The video is, more or less, the start at the trailhead and is roughly 1/4 of the trail. I had to save my action cam battery power for my real reason of going and that was to the Reward Mine. After the end of the video (not shown that is), the trail just got more snowy and icy and I was NOT expecting that. When "I" went, the wind gusts towards the top of the mountain were just KRAZY strong, on a ICY/SNOWY trail on 235/75R15's, although semi-aggressive AT's, the size of the tires did NOT help matters under those conditions!!! I can't express how crazy the hill slant was being on an icy trail and the edge of the mountain NOT that far away to my left. I don't have footage, but I can tell you it was nerve racking having the wind blow that hard and slipping as I'm trying to move forward.:goingcrazy::help: HAHAHAHAHAHA, I do NOT recommend going on this trail with those size tires although I did PROVE it to be doable!!!:goingcrazy: LOL!!!:laugh::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Finally, I was just simply documenting my humble thoughts and maybe give people a heads-up on what to expect. There were some parts for sure that had super loose dirt/rock and in some spots where you do NOT want to get stuck at!!!

I hope you all enjoy the video!!!

Just a random out by Lucerne valley, miles and miles of roads like this seeing as it’s in the middle of the desert

    Right around here somewhere lol

I’ll be going out there a few times this season as well as JT, cougar buttes, and a few other places few people have heard of. You want me to keep you updated when I plan to go. I never do day runs anymore too much driving just to get to where I want to be might as well spend at least 1 night

    That'd be cool.

I just need at least 1x or 2x weeks heads-up to let my sister know, prefer 2x wks. I'm off every other Friday as well.

I plan on doing much needed maintenance on my truck as well. Belts, plugs, oil, tires/wheels, etc. Most of that I can do myself. Shi*, if I had access to a tire machine, I can change my own tires and even balancing although it's been awhile, HAHAHA.

and a couple other rim clamp machines. Did that for 14yrs.

The 4040 was an AWESOME machine!!! Wouldn't recommend doing nice shiny aluminum's with it though!!! HAHAHA

Anyways, that'd be cool for sure.

I busted tires for about 7 years before I switched it up to my current job. Good times mounting low pro 24” wheels by hand cuz the machine is not gentle enough

Keep me posted to add another 85 to the group. Assuming no issues arise when U finally get around to breaking in the engine.

    Do you trailer your truck?
