Signed up for my first Powerlifting Meet in November. Pretty excited/anxious about it. Only have a little over a year left in the Junior age division to break a State record.

Holy fuck. So these two newer power lifter guys started working out at the golds I go to around the same time I go. They either bench or squat three days a week depending on their program. God forbid I need to use the one legit squat rack or one of two benchs that day.

They were benching when I showed up yesterday, while I did a full 5x5 squat workout, more legs, and 15 minutes of cardio.....and they were still benching. I get taking time between sets but these two idiots are legit taking 10minutes rests periods between sets. An hour and a half bench workout is absurd.

I started at a new gym and now workout in the evenings so its busy AF.
I’ve litterally seen guys talking the entire time I’ve done my workouts taking up a bench or rack.
I’ve seen people take up a bench for 30 minutes because they can’t get off their phone.

Also... I think this new gym doubles as a club for the people with the most fucked up tattoos in the world.
Portraits of the two guys from Insane Clown Posse, a tattoo of nothing but blood splatter, a body hanging from a noose on a clocktower... WTF.

Yesterday I saw a chick working out in fishnets and knee sleeves...

I’m ready to join a cross fit gym.

It's fucking brutal. Yea they're both big dudes and can move some weight but when you're finish your squat workout and put 135 on the bar for a burnout you shouldn't sit on your phone in the rack for ten minutes before you do it.

I compete at 181 too, well at least my last 2 comps were. I’m toying with the idea of dropping to 165. I’m fat at 181 and walk around at 175.

    Meet 1 (Feb)
    S: 429
    B: 314
    DL: 457

    Meet 2 (May)
S:419 (failed a PR attempt on my 3rd)
    B:319
DL: 462 (failed another PR attempt on my 3rd)

Yep leather single prong. I have the Velcro one too that’s for rogue. I think I’ve used that one twice maybe.

How do you like the Ohio? I have the cheaper black single prong rogue belt. I think it’s like felt or suede or something
