That's a good question. In the past, Mat indicated that v1.05 would include the TSB. But yesterday when he posted looking for a few guinea pigs, one of the requirements he listed was for the new TSB to be already installed?

Probably wanting to remove how the truck drives from the effects of the TSB out of the equation for the testers to experience his tune only.

@Anchovy here we go again lol

Words mean things guys. Based on previous comments made by Mat, he said flashing 1.05 with an older ECU will not change your ECU ID. There is a difference between 1.05 updating your entire ECU model and 1.05 including all of the benefits provided with the updated ECU models.

If i am incorrect, Mat has yet to say anything that would indicate that i am wrong

1.05 is built and tested on our R&D truck with the latest TSB, it makes it simpler for us to have testers and get feedback from people who already have the TSB.

agreed, I'm quite sure he has his reasons. and the way this thread moves with
non-related posts there's no way for him to see tune related questions before they're
    3 pages deep.

You should be able to just flash the version of 1.05 for whatever your ECU version is. As for what the TSB number is, I can't remember off the top of my head exactly. I updated via techstream and then promptly forgot about it lol something about a 0058 and a 0062 is all I remember (they're different TSBs that provide the same thing)

I think "learning" (as it pertains to the changes felt in the tune over time for M/T) is overstating what is actually going on. Mat has said several times that after flashing, everything needs to settle in (fuel trims, idle airflow, knock correction values, etc etc etc). Every OV tune file I've run on my truck has changed over time/miles, and at some point levels out to a steady state. Sometimes it takes hundreds of miles, and the effects can be subtle.

Throttle feel seems to be the one thing that always changes for me and my truck. It usually gets "squishier".

Take it with a grain of salt, as my truck is the ginger of the lot around here lol.

I agree words mean things. Hopefully you'll agree that Mat didn't use the words "ECU ID" in the post I quoted?

Agreed, but the way you worded your comment matters. Lots of people have been saying the same thing you did and taking it to mean that 1.05 will change their ECU and ECU ID to the updated post TSB ECU model. So i took your comment to be in a similar vein since it could be easily read that way.

I completely agree that it settles out over time. Which is why I'm not taking the 1.05 reviews too literal yet
