No butt Dyno readings. I'm looking for efficiency more than anything else. After 3 tanks I'll compare before and after. I will say this, at wide open throttle, it gets throaty and loud.

The big box on the other pipe is like a baffle. I have no real idea what it was for.

Nice build. Makes me think more seriously about the 3rd gens.

    Thanks!

When I started looking for a truck (summer of 2017) I saw a sweet 2015 Pro for sale, and was going to go that route, but the price and timing was wrong (in other words, my wife said not yet LOL).

supposedly the baffle box on the stock intake decreases sound. I went ahead and purchased the parts, seeing I have the TRD exhaust.

    I'm seeing a 1mpg jump, but that's just 1 tank so far.

    Towing post 2

So it's the end of the season, and it's time to bring the camper home. The last time I towed the camper, we had just purchased it, and it was pre-lift/wheels/tires.

    IMG_20181007_104719.jpg

    All hooked up, looking good?

    IMG_20181007_105259.jpg

Yep, looking real good. The AAL really helps out!

No problems towing, S4 the whole way with ECT in. When this truck is in the high RPM it loves to pull....

Well, I really don't have anything going on right now. The speakers sound great, but I still want to reset the gains using 1,000hz +2dB and 50hz +2db tones. I think maybe in a week or two I'll get around to doing that.

Been driving without the OEM bedcover again, and trying to decide whether or not it is staying. I need to order some bed bars in the near term because ski season.

This past weekend, I was supposed to help out my nephew on his eagle project, but it got called off for rain. So instead, me and the boy took a ride up to the camp to check on the property. It just so happens that our camp is pretty close to The Hampster Ride, so not having much to do otherwise, we checked it out. We were able to do the route from New London, NH getting on at Shaker Street off NH RT 11, and got off the route at the intersection of the Isaac Frye Highway and NH RT 101 (Mobil station) in Wilton, NH. We saw some deer, lots of turkeys, and a really cool looking bird that I mistook for a duck at first.

Truck got a little dirty. There was much rinsing down LOL.

Anyway, it was a really good time. I downloaded the .gpx file and used via Gaia app on my phone, we had the truck's gps set down to 500 yards, and my son was using a .gpx viewer on his phone and backing up my nav.

It was some really good father/son time, and would like to do it again with both kids.

It was a really cool ride. I found the dirt roads on this section to be better than the asphalt roads, but they were a little on the narrow side. I had a couple of Oh Shit moments where I needed to pull to the side and let people pass that were going northbound, one coming over a blind hill/turn (honda accord wagon), and one GMC BMF with vet plates "SND IT" LOL. Other than that, we had the roads to ourself for the most part. I can see how it would be way better doing this on a dual sport.

Here is the google maps route for it:

They did a pretty good job with that route .But there are a few paths they could have done different by the Dartmouth area. Tons of stuff out there.

It was truly a different way to get home from the camp, and the foliage was perfect for it. I'd like to hit it north from New London to Moose Hillock next summer, or maybe just do the whole route, with an overnight at Moose Hillock or someplace in that area.

If you like that type of ride, hop the boarder into vermont and check out forest road 71. Good amount of camping out there as well. Brings you right up to Kelly stand Rd, which another nice drive .

That sounds sweet. Me and the kids are hammock campers and have stands (well at least I do, I have to make some for them), so I thought that during the off ski season, I could use the ski cargo as a stand container for our stands....

and in order to put on a cargo carrier, I need bed rails/rack. So I ordered the hi-rise racks from @kbvoodoo today.
