Where you headed to? Nites aren't bad, I'm just so over this day heat...electric bill was $290 last month. :annoyed:

As in Chestnut MT? I've heard several areas up that way referred to the "Gorges". Also some place in GA.

Just looked at the website and the campground is closed due to "aggressive bear activity."

If Raymond Fischer is closed for bear activity, not sure I would camp at the river, either, but ask the rangers at the visitors centers. They are usually really helpful except about the dang gates

Is there any other sites that I don't have to hike my camping gear to?

There are other sites if you cross the river, and they aren't really that far. Take self recovery gear or a buddy with you. My best recommendation would really be to talk to the rangers, though.

If we're not able to camp, we're just probably going to go to Musterground and camp there.

I know game zone 1 closes for 2 weeks at the end of this month for bear season.

I don’t know if that would have an affect on your plans or not.

Gorges State Park. I asked about the big site at the river and the smaller sites up in the game lands.
